    Your Welcome :)
@Mooch is the All Knowing God of Batteries, always try to find one of his reviews on any batteries you are thinking about buying.
Like do a Google search for "Mooch Button Top 18350" or throw the name of a battery in "Mooch Ultrafire Button Top 18350"
    Good Luck :)

A Google search is the worst way to find my test results. Why? Google always returns the links to the most popular pages...which are the oldest ones. You are practically guaranteed to get obsolete info.

Just check out my ECF blog. The latest version of everything can always be found there. Don’t go to Google just to be sent back here to an old post. :)

I have seen the KeepPower 18350 1200mAh come in a Button Top

The only button top Keeppower 18350's I could find are 'protected' batteries, not suitable for our regulated mods.

Okay Mooch, consider your blog linked. I can never get the tables to post anyway.

Can you take the old ones down or are they ubiquitous?

    Anna

Take the old ones down? I’m not sure I understand you. The only tables in my blog are the latest ones that are available. They’re not all updated often so some can be older than others. Each is the latest one available though.

I recommend not posting the tables themselves as the table in the post becomes obsolete when I update the table in my blog. Best to post the link to the blog page that has the table.

Thanks for the directions! I get lost in the internet woods a lot, haha. And thanks for maintaining such a great resource of information. Your blog has been bookmarked.

I obviously don’t frequent the forums that often so this is likely old news but seems like the state of unprotected button top 18350s is back where it all began for me; ordering unknown cells from as trustworthy of a source as you can. Proper battery maintenance cannot be understated with these things, yikes. Well here’s to hoping things are at least better than the days of those 16340 purple Spiderfires! Haha.

As much as I try to stay satisfied with the gear I have, which I totally am, the ecig world always finds a way to force me to change - aka buy more!

I have had good luck with these:

    18350 Vapcell INR18350 1100mAh 9A High Discharge Button Top

They are not curated the way AW’s were, so you will find that some are not great, but some will be excellent.

    They are a bit long.

Just don’t screw them down all the way.

Screw them down snug and stop right there.

Otherwise, you risk breaking your board loose.

what's going on right now with AW batteries? did they manage to come back after the flood they had?
    they were such good batteries(i know they were wraps),but they just wouldn't die;
i remember having around 6 of them and after 5 years i decided to discard of them just because i thought they were to old and went through to many cycle, not because of their performance.
and on the other hand;the 30Q i buy don't last very long, but the Sony vtc6 are not to bad(i get my cells from illumn.)

    Nope, no AW.

    AW was Andrew Wong(?) Wan(?).

He got his start over on the Candlepower Forums, I believe.

What was great about AW wasn’t that his batteries were better than other batteries, it was that he went through and cherry picked the best individual examples, so it saved having to buy and discard any sub-par batteries.

With Andrew gone, out of the business, you have to figure a certain amount of wastage into your battery purchases now.
