I don't Taylor Hawkins, did he record anything before 1979 (my cutoff year)?

What was it about 1980 that turned you off so? Sheena Easton?

Guess they found numerous drugs in his hotel room. Not surprised given how many rock n rollers lost their lives to drugs but surprised because I thought Taylor Hawkins was smarter than that.

You had more faith than me. When the news first broke, my initial thought was, "Oh no, Taylor..." :( Godspeed, Taylor Hawkins. You brought some smiles into this world.

We are vapers and they are rock stars. We will buy stuff and they will buy stuff. The only difference is the stuff.

Still sad, of course. Very likeable guy (as is Grohl, in my opinion). That drum-feud thing Grohl had going with young Nandi Bushell was absolutely priceless.

I know that name but don't remember what she sang.
Well as to 1980, I began trying to court Mrs CMD in 1979 and that relationship, law school and work occupied all of my time and focus. I just never quite rejoined society. School was over in May of '81 and then it was just her and work, nothing else mattered - still doesn't, really. It was not so turned off about the '80's; it was more that I was turned on by more appealing things. So musically, I was stuck in the '50's, 60's and '70's.

( PS: I'd put Roy Orbison in the R&R HOF.)

Not that I would have blamed you had it been Sheena Easton. :tumble:

It's all a big show, go to YouTube and search Andy Kaufman slapped, it is an old skit perfectly executed and not admitted to till ten years later when Andy was dead. Language prevents me from linking the clips but it was pretty funny, and well played, like we are being played and distracted today...pay no attention to that man behind the curtain...
