I'm of two minds about Rush touring without Neil. For those of us who have been fans for decades, it simply will not be the same without Neil. Period, case closed, end of story. It's like watching the Three Stooges without Curly. Just not the same. That said, Rush's popularity has only grown since they hung up their spikes in 2015. There are tons of newer/younger Rush fans that never had the opportunity to see them. So for them, Rush v.67 is an excellent opportunity to see them live. Also a great opportunity for Anika Nilles. She'll be playing in front of audiences she has never seen. She's a good drummer and I'm sure she'll do a good job. I wonder if she'll flip her sticks up in the air. Rest in Peace, Neil.

I'm actually (and somewhat surprisingly) okay with it. I won't be going to any shows, but if they were going to do it, I think this is the only way it could have ever worked.

They deserve to be able to play, and I think Anika might be a wonderful piece of the puzzle. I'd like to think that Neil agrees too.

I would have preferred if Alex and Geddy came back with new music and new musicians and left the Rush songs live in blissful history. But I know I'm being selfish. I saw them live numerous times going back 50 years ago. These newer fans never had the opportunities I had so if they want to tour with Rush songs then more power to them and their younger fans. You mentioned they deserve to play. I agree. They're musicians, it's what they do. Anika deserves the gig. She's been around awhile, worked hard, has the talent so let her rip. Just heard an interview with Geddy. Yes, she is intimidated, yes she's overwhelmed with learning this stuff. But he basically said that is to be expected. He's right. She has till June and I'm sure she'll work her ... off and she'll shine on the tour.

Finally, and for @Bronze , it was this, very specifically, that first spun me on my head for Rush. I heard it on a friend's "All the World's a Stage" album and was hooked.

I think I was maybe 14-15 years old (or thereabouts). I've never looked back since.

Regrets, I have none (at least where Rush is concerned).
