Provary batter function question

Can someone explain to me the battery function of the Provari menu? Is the reading in voltage? What exactly does it mean as it pertains to the battery draining? I thought PBusardo indicated the Provari will continue to push out the specified voltage until the battery dies. If my battery voltage number drops, does that mean its only pushing out that many volts, or does it mean something else?

PBusardo indicated with the Provari, "you get what you set". So i'm expecting the Provari to push the number of volts I set in the P u or P d menu.

It does "push the number of volts you set" as you put it.That's called regulated voltage. If you set it at 4.2 volts it will stay 4.2 volts until the light starts flashing. (You can unscrew the battery and screw it back in and get maybe 10 more minutes out of it too) and it goes dead.

The battery function is to tell you how many volts are left in your battery. The Provari uses a boost circuit so even if you have say 3.4 volts in your battery and have the voltage set to 4.2 volts it will boost it to that amount.

The Accuset Technology uses a boost circuit in its computer to create more voltage than the battery has. I don't know how that can be so, but it does. It also continues to monitor your vaping conditions and to provide the precise voltage that you set no matter what the voltage left on the battery is, until it can no longer compensate.

A safety feature built into the Provari prevents over discharge of the battery; it will shut down. The fire button also begins blinking when the battery is near needing changed, and blinks progressively more frequently as the voltage is drained.

The Cb function displays the battery output in volts. If you have an atomizer or cartomizer attached it will show you the output voltage first off-load and then on-load. Otherwise, it shows the off-load battery output only. A Provari has circuitry using their AccuSet technology to keep the output voltage constant at what you set when you vape.

Thank you! That's what I was hoping it meant. This thing is AWESOME. It pushes out better performance on my Kanger T3s than my eGo-C Twist batteries ever did, even after a fresh charge and correct voltage setting. It's a truly amazing piece of hardware!

What do you mean by off-load and on-load? Does this mean while the clearomizer is attached?

Forget that - don't know what I was thinking. It shows on-load only when an atomizer or cartomizer is attached, nothing else.

When you hook the battery up to something that draws power, the output voltage drops. If you measure the voltage at this time, it will be lower and is called on-load.

Thank you for that explanation. That makes more sense, and maybe explains why the values shifted while I was looking at it. Sounds like something basic an electrician would know. My uncle is one. I bet he'd be amazed at this thing.

Also, does it hurt to leave the Provari ON for an extended period of time, or is it better to turn it off?

I only "turn it off" if I pack it in the caddy that Provape sells in order to avoid the button from depressing and accidentally firing. Otherwise, it's in my coat pocket or in a compartment in my bag or put away where I don't believe it will accidentally fire. By "turn it off", I'm referring to the Po menu.

I have never turned mine off. If I was to stow it somewhere I was worried about it firing accidently I would but most of the time its in my hand
