Hi, I sent this email to Steve Friday, but hadnt heard anything, so just thought I'd check in here...


Hi,
I received my manual pass-through today, and also, thanks for the extra carts, can always use those. I like the manual better than the auto I think, maybe it's the extra control, or maybe the no cutoff, anyway, I did have a question. Should the cartomizer make a crackling noise as long as its plugged in? The button being pushed doesn't seem to make any difference, it also gets very hot. Right now I have a USB port right on the front of the computer so I just plug in when I'm vaping and unplug when I'm done. Is it possible that one of these could get stuck in the On position?

Yes, the button can stick on. Is the cartomizer getting hot when you're not pressing the button?

If so, don't use it. Let Steve or Mark know.

Yikes, there should be no crackling sound when the button isn't pushed and it definitely should NOT be heating up. Give the button a wiggle maybe? I'm sure the V4L crew will take care of you but until then be very careful with it.

Thanks, Ive stopped using it for now, yesterday a little bit of smoke puffed out of the bottom, so there's obviously something wrong. The button does click when I push it, but it doesn't affect the power output, stays on all the time as long as its plugged in. No big deal, these things happen, still have my auto-pt which has been great for a month and half or so.

Now I know why this happened, was Friday the 13th!!!!
