I want to start punching my own cartomizers for my tank to save some $$$. I'm looking everywhere and can't find flanged, single coil, 1.7 ohm cartomizers that are not punched. Does anyone know of a good website that sells these? Thanks

Sorry Beth, I don't know of a vendor who sells them flanged and unpunched. Not saying there might be some out there but I don't remember running across them. It's almost if you buy flanged, they assume you're using a tank so they come punched.

When I began punching my cartos for tanks I just started buying unflanged in standard and xl length. You don't really need the flange, just show a bit of extra caution if you're using one of the looser fitting tanks like a smoktech. Punch your hole(s) and push the carto up until the bottom of the tube is flush /w the tank and you're good to go.

i'm interested in punching my own cartos, too. but i don't know what it is i'm looking for. all the ones i see have pre punched 1mm or larger holes. am i supposed to punch holes in addition to the one punched? sorry to ask such a seemingly obvious question, but i'm still kind of new-usually use vivi novas or tanks with pre-punched holes. just wondering what it is i should be buying or looking for if i'm gonna punch my own. thanks in advance.

I use Boge 510D XXL LR cartos and purchase them laser drilled... they come with either 1 med. size hole for the thicker juice and 2 small holes for the thinner stuff. Wicking perfectly and lasting a while and I run them around 9 watts. No extra cost for the laser drilled as they are shipped from Boge that way. SmokTech I have not had a good experience with... flooding, etc. nasty tasting IMO. If you use the chrome SmokTech tanks they are a bit sliddy.. but the black rubber ended ones are more secure. The J-tank will fix any sliding issues. Hope this helps?

I have to agree with smoktech pre drilled cartos. Three in a row i tried today and each one is flooded. I'll be vaping these dry without the tank and try again with the tank later on. Just keeping paper towels handy to catch fluid seeping out of the holes. Grrrr...I think i will try the Boge for my next order. Thanks for the info xplumberx! I really wish this carto flooding was not an issue :(....they should really work on a fix.
