Pure Titanium Atty

Not the usual grade 5 Titanium Alloy which is often used & referred to as "Titanium". This one is machined in grade 2 Titanium which is considered commercially pure. It is 15mm diameter & can accommodate single, double or even triple coils. Made with interchangeable tanks which are approx. 1.5ml & 2.5ml. Designed so a U wick can be set up which will pass the post rather than go over it. Many set-up options are possible with this one. Therefore it deserved to be built in pure Ti. Also, supa cool. Keep up the good work. I've always had a thing for stuff made in the UK. Hell, I own 20 different pairs of Doc Martens,GripFast,Grinders,Getta Grip,and Shelly's boots. I'm an old punk(not a skinhead).

Just built one for a guy in California. However there has been no reply to PMs for days. Don't have his email address so this atty is unclaimed. Not the cheapest build as its in Pure Titanium with both 1ml & 2ml tanks. It even has 2 Titanium tips. As I have nobody on my list for this design with both tanks in pure Ti, I will list it in the classifieds today. Won't be the cheapest atty as its pure Titanium rather than the alloy grades that nearly every atty is built in. Very few use pure Ti.

What so much better building an atomizer with grade 2 rather than the harder stronger grade 5? All my customers want grade 5 titanium.

yes the grade 5 is harder with its Vanadium & Aluminium content. If that's what your customers want then that's what to give them. But I do think that grade 5 should be referred to as "Titanium Alloy" as it is after all an Alloy. How many people think they are getting Pure Titanium when its referred to as Surgical Grade Titanium?
Sellers should specify that the device is made with grade 5 Titanium Alloy. Then they can't be accused of misleading customers. BTW do I really believe that customers would email requesting that devices be made out of Titanium Alloy rather than Pure Titanium because the Vanadium & Aluminium makes the Alloy harder?

I'm not going to argue with you it was just a question. Grade 5 is more expensive than grade 2, has 3 times the strength and does not scratch as easy as grade 2 so why anyone would complain makes no sense. Unless they planned on surgically attaching a vaporizer to one of their body parts then I see no benefit by using grade 2 You make some nice stuff......keep up the good work. People should be happy with any grade of Titanium as it's just the best material out there in my opinion.

yes I agree. I also have grade 5 Ti & have previously used it to make the 510 connector. Not a hope that anyone will ever strip those threads. But grade 2 has a different feel to it than grade 5. Some guys just prefer to have pure Ti I suppose. But grade 2 is harder than it will ever need to be. If I bought the wife stainless jewellery as opposed to gold, as the stainless is harder wearing than soft gold, do you think she would be happy? It will always come down to personal choice. Having compared & machined both grades, I would choose to have mine made in grade 2. The vast majority of guys haven't a clue about metals. When they buy something described as being made of Titanium they just assume its pure. But whether its alloy or pure Ti, its still going to last many years & never rust
