I believe, if you create an account, and comment yourself like you do here, it will be more than plenty to help new DIY'ers.

Bottom line, keep mixing because you have a legion following you :)

vaping your Tame Rhum at the moment. Nice vape, btw. I've found it to boozy at first yesterday, but now it's fine.

I couldn't stop mixing if I wanted to. It's like an obsession with me. I don't especially enjoy blogging, but I like having a 'master list' like the ECF blog.

My recipes and notes are in a single big Word document. Notes on flavors and the list of what I have now and have ever tried - that's all in a separate document. Not near as organized as you all, but I like it. It's all in one place, easily printed, always backed up.

OH - Thanks for the reminder on Tame Rum. I made that with the idea of Spiced Rum recipes to go with it. Captain Morgan and various Jamaican Rum flavor profiles are in my notes, but I totally forgot about it.

I don't think so.
I also mix by weight, and what I do is download the eJMU file, then import it to http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/480587-new-calculator-try.html

I get errors from decimals import, but maybe that has to do with my regional settings, 0.5% usually becomes 50%.
Pay attention to that if you follow this method.

Sticking with www...................... It's too easy, and I don't need to make additional calculations.

That seems like a big flaw that dot1m doesn't allow for the smaller percentages.

WOW ..5:30AM ..I just barely had a warm spot in the bed .. Byrong70 is on the ball
He gave a nice description, and so did HIC
You may just "love" the flavor, so definitely try it.
It's all a matter of taste to each one.
I've never tried the "real" thing either, but I didn't care for the taste.
It tasted "musky" to me, and I remember thinking at the time, this is no good by it's self, and what would I use it with?"
It's one of the few tests I dumped ...just not my thing.

You never know until you try it
I don't eat Kiwi either, and I thought eee-u when I bought it, but I was willing to give it a try... it's one of my favorites as a solo flavor.
I've found it's not a good idea to judge the flavor until you try it ... lots of surprises.

Mangosteen just didn't appeal to me, but it has too others, so you have to try it yourself.
It was only my puny opinion

I havent tried mangosteen as a standalone but I did 3% mangosteen and 1% fresh cream (I think). To me, it smells and tastes like the smell of the produce isle in a grocery store...like all the fruits combined with the smell of melons dominating. I didnt hate it but I didnt really love it either. It is fairly light but pretty sweet to me. I can see how it could appeal to some people but not others. I might have to try Bryons recipe with the mango and mandarin....I love fa mandarin!

Here is a version of Mango Tango that I made an ADV from
Mango Tango VA
2% Apricot (FA)
3% Mango (FA)
1% Coconut (FA)
4% Mandarin (FA)

Have several version, with swaps of the first flavor in my list above. Mango, Coconut, and Mandarin are the main ingredients.

For those of you that like tfa dragonfruit. ...I have been able to use fa kiwi as a replacement to make all fa recipes with some success. Give it a try...it might surprise you.

I may try Kiwi, for some reason when I go to vape shops and try various Kiwi flavors, I just don't care for it. If it is more like dragon fruit, that will interest me.

I don't know if the shops mix it with another flavor, (to ruin it!) but
I love Dragon Fruit, and I mixed the FA Kiwi at 3% all by it's self and loved it too.
You may like it better at 1-2% if you are fortunate enough to have taste buds that work

When I went back to order some more 3ml flavors, I ordered a large bottle of it along with several other flavors I fell in love with in the 3ml size.
I love the 3ml, because it's a great way to try different ones, and then I go for the "big" one.
I never saw such a mess of "little" bottles in my life.
I had to separate them into "fruit", and "not fruit" bags to keep from searching through all of them to find what I wanted.
I already had been using the tobacco's, so thankfully I didn't end up with a mess of those too.
But .. it's all fun

I'm fixated on MaxxBlend/Popcorn. Not in a million years would that have occurred to me, but now I'm curious.

I used Maxx Blend 3%, and TFA Popcorn 5%. I added a touch of CAP Butter and Vape Wizard, which I will both skip next time.
It sat for a month before I got to it.
It was mild, smooth, and a real lite tan color, almost clear, which I appreciated, as I don't like thick dark juices.
Maxx is a real mild tobacco, and fruit's, etc can hide it, but it brings them together and adds body to anything you use it with.
I find the same thing with Smooth.

The first time I tried it, I used 8% popcorn .. I couldn't taste the tobacco at all,
but it sure made a good popcorn with lots of "body"
I love popcorn (can't eat it) ..now I just need to find a caramel I can taste.
The only one I found was FW Salted Caramel, but I had to use it at 18%, and I don't like going that heavy on the flavoring.

Popcorn is a funny flavor when mixed (a dab) with others.
I know a person who adds a drop of it to his Strawberry Shortcake.
You can't taste it, but it sure brought the flavors together.

A lot of my recipes use FA and flavorings by different company's, so I'm hesitant about posting them on this thread.
I don't want to turn it into a "general" recipe thread.
But you guys are welcome to experiment with the combo's I mentioned
A lot of the flavorings I plan on replacing with FA, but I haven't tested them on their own yet as a replacement.
So maybe after I do the "switch-a-roo", I can post, and stay true to the thread.

If you like TFA Dragonfruit, why not just use it? It has no custard ingredients: Perfumer's Apprentice

Ok ...so now I need YOUR help

I have a Rum and Coke w/lime recipe ... and it turned out "syrupy sweet" which I don't like.
I used:
FA Cola
FA Jamaican Rhum and a different Lime.
I'm going to switch the Lime to FA Tahiti Lime, as it's sharper, but ..
I think the sweetness came from the FA Cola

Has anyone else tried the FA Cola and found the same sweetness problem

I've never found the JR to be a problem
I'm about ready to try the HS Red Cola (pepsi flavor instead of coke) the FA JR and FA Lime Tahiti, and see if it gets rid of the super sweet taste ..yuk
I also have a different Rum I could use if someone thinks that's the source.
It's a nice change-up vape, but not with it tasting like it had 3 tablespoons of sugar in it

Try HIC's Cuba Libra! It's amazing, and always in my Fogger :) And, yes, it uses Lime Tahiti, not Cold Pressed.

My Cuba Libre uses 3% Cola, 1% Rum, 1% Lime Tahiti. So we're using the same flavorings?
How far different is your ratio from 3:1:1?

I don't know Hangsen's Cola flavor, but IMO, FA's Cola is less sweet than TFA's (much better flavor, too).

So Cal
So you DON'T detect any sweetness from the "coke"
(I really blamed the "coke")
Maybe it's my stink'n taste buds again

It's a pretty strong vape - but I get mainly lime, not coke. Everyone I've made it for loves it. And I really don't like overly sweet vapes (which is why I DIY). But I've found that our taste buds all pick up different flavors - there are some I can't taste at all (apricot), and some that hit me in the face in a way I find unpleasant (honey). It may be that you pick up something different from FA Cola than I do!
