Someone mentioned this in another thread, and now it's got me curious. I'm usually a super sleuth, but I'm coming up empty. The highest UK nic available is 72mg. How is VT getting 100mg?

I think I read where Kevin said he gets well above 100mg (10%) to cut for retail 100mg ?

Hey,

I have Vapure, Latakia, Shade and RY4. Vapure and Latakia are way too strong for me, even at minute amounts. I'm putting in a new order. Any other good tobaccos knowing what I like/don't like with 'em? I know this is a hard question.

If you like Shade and RY4, you might like Virginia and Dusk. But if anyone disagrees, take their word over mine! I don't think Latakia is too strong, but I use max 1% there. I think Burley is my favorite mixer - pretty good with Latakia and optional touch of Virginia. Tiny, wimpy percents I'm using, lol!

Oh - MaxxBlend and 7 Leaves are the mildest, imo.

And since "panting-dog-avatar" mentioned it, WHAT is the protruding pink thing in your avatar Huck? I thought it was a pig's .... and figured it was somehow....um, off-color. lol! Then I saw you mentioned some kiddie movie. Marshmallow? Soap suds?
Panting Dog Avatar!

HIC, my apologies for the intrusion, and for answering on Huck's behalf, but it is a fluffy unicorn. One's life can't possibly be considered complete without having watched Despicable Me.

Rocket, boyfriend prefers the Turkish flavor by Hangsen that I'd made, so far. To me, it's very light, nice flavor, lightly sweet. But, I got 5 samples from FA to mix for him. He liked Virginia and Shade standalone best. I liked 7 Leaves and Latakia, though I'm not very often a tobacco vaper. Nice as a change from time to time. Neither of liked Desert Ship as well. I mixed each of them at 2% just to sample.

HIC - you've used Layton. Any good?

To my taste, Layton is one that varies a lot by strength. It's a complex flavor but agreeable to me mixed with many others. The tobacco bit of it is mild; other notes vary. Over 1% standalone gave me a distinct mintiness - not sure if it's that's proper 'menthol' or not, but minty. I detest menthol, but I didn't find this at all disagreeable (so maybe it's a hint of actual mint rather than menthol). Under 1% I could not notice the effect. But then combining tiny touches of Layton, under 1%, with other flavors and blends, it added a smooth coolness that I find useful to 'brighten' dark or spicy or pipe-like flavors. Just....coolness, not mint, not menthol. Vaping at higher power, I could detect a bit of fruitiness, but at low power fruit vanished leaving just a mystery-sweetness in its place. It's not honey, not caramel, so maybe it's a vague fruit-sweetness. The mild tobacco remains constant to my taste. I suspect Layton may be among the most useful of FA's tobaccos for blending, one of the most versatile, but I don't know enough about tobaccos to say what the best uses are. If a tobacco blend seems dark, heavy, too spicy or bold...I try it with a little Layton. It always adds something, but it's not always the same addition.

Is that vague enough, lol!

edit: I should add, I found nothing disagreeable with Layton at various percentages or in combination with others. Nothing offensive or obnoxious about it. That's more than I can say for most tobaccos, and that makes it a useful flavor for me.

I've been wondering the same since AFAIK the maximum allowed by law, in UK is 75mg.

Just to add to what I wrote about Layton... I'm vaping it now at 3% standalone, higher than I tried before. It's one of the few that I'm willing to do that with. At this strength, that sweet/cool bit is accentuated and is clearly clove, not mint. It's sweet on the tongue during inhale. I also taste citrus now. The mild tobacco background is still there. More evidence that Layton's flavor varies a lot, depending on the percentage you use.

edit: 5%, I sense some Anise with this clove, clove is stronger, getting pretty sweet with those high-notes of clove, still has citrus, tobacco background still unchanged... I'm not going to try any higher percentages, but there ya go.
