Yeah I don't know there is definitely no longer any strawberry flavor to it and a very faint peach like flavor. It has also gotten fairly sweet but still good.
If I had to guess, maybe some of the same molecules in both and they muted leaving a slight peach note. If its good then doesnt matter. If you want the SB then maybe try a different SB.

I was wondering about potential flavor fade. Some other brands of strawberry concentrates have been mentioned to fade over longer periods of time. And, by @Beamslider's account, two and a half months is some significant aging.

Fading, as I understand it, is not always a uniform loss. Volatile chemicals/compounds dissipate easier/faster than more stable chemicals/compounds. This potential for an unbalanced fading of a concentrate could lead to a change in the concentrate's intended profile.

What we often think of, as "simple" flavors (strawberry; for example), are actually often made up of many complex components, in order to arrive at the desired taste. Because TFA has fuller disclosure than any other manufacturer I am aware of, I will use their Strawberry concentrate as an illustration:

I am not going to even pretend to understand, how all of these components work together, or behave individually. I also acknowledge that Purilum is not TFA; and may have little/no similarities. But, if one accepts the possibility of some components dissipating faster than others, one can see how a peach note might possibly emerge.

Can be quite confusing for sure.Over the years I've used several different Strawberrys and I've never had one fade into a peach flavor. Not yet anyway.I use certain fruits for accent flavors and I've found they all fade with aging with lemon being the top offender.

    :blush:Thanks:blush:

I often worry about "over explaining." But I keep thinking "what if a newb-to-DIY is trying to read; could s/he get it?" I figure the old-hands know my posts by now, and can skim, or ignore them all together.:D

I guess I qualify as old hand and I still enjoy reading your posts,Joel:)
I have to respectfully disagree, @FranC. Women are never "old;" women can only be "ageless and experienced!" So, you my dear Lady; are an "experienced hand.":lol::laugh:

The Simply cake is good with TFA blackberry. The Simply Cake is very good mixed with Purilum Coconut as well. Sweet but if you like sweet a good dessert vape.

I have settled on the Sweet tobacco and TFA Pistachio as an all day vape for now. Really nice. I like it well enough that I went ahead and premixed just the flavors 75% Sweet tobacco and 25% Pistachio so I can quickly mix up a batch of 60 ML bottles by just adding 6ML of the premix, toss in the Nic and VG.

The Country Apple is very nice too. I mixed it a couple weeks ago at 8% and it is a real apple taste without fakeness. Not sure what the name of the kind of apple but those yellow sort of sweet not so sweet ones is what it tastes like. Not tart just semi sweet
