Purple LEDS?

I cannot see the purple LED at all. If I take it under my desk, or to a dark room, I can see it. But in normal light, it is impossible to see. Makes it tough to know when it is "dead" as I do not see it blinking. Is it my eyes, or do others have that same problem?

Is this a V4L branded battery, or generic KD808 ?

The branded batteries. I think they started getting them a couple months or so ago. Many of the ladies
were excited about it and wanted them. I haven't heard anyone else complain...so I was
wondering if it is a trick of my eyes or something. They keep sending me purple LEDS in my
pink batteries (grrr). So in the order I made today, I said "No purple LEDS".

I seem to have better luck from the generic 808 bats. The consistency is better. Since I'm a guy, color is not important.

I requested a purple LED on my purple bat. It is very dull.. but one of the team warned us that it was almost a blacklight color so I was forewarned.
I just don't understand why you can't just make colored ashcaps. If they can make them grey they can make them any color..then all the LED's can be white! You could buy a pack of different colors and trade them out as you see fit. LED colore solved!

It's not just you, I can't see my purple LED either.

They are basically black/UV LEDs so yes you aren't going to see them very well in any kind of lighting except dim to dark. I can see it just fine in a dark room or dimly lit club/bar. I really like it when I'm wearing UV reactive nail polish/clothing! It's also good for checking cash to see if it's counterfeit.

I had the same problem with my last two Lavender batts, they had purple LED's. I couldn't see the light at all.

My frist one died and I had to send it back in for a replacement. The second one died also. I will be sending it back in when I get my replacement in the mail. Which hopfully will be soon. It got mis shipped out of KC MO and now it's being re routed back to me.

I will have to say both times I contacted customer service, they were above awesome! Very prompt in answering my ticket, and very knowledgeable in answering my questions.

My purple LED will serve a purpose when I just don't want to be too obvious when I'm using my PV. Always a silver lining.

Oh, I'd like a purple one. I didn't specify on a chrome battery and got a traffic light green LED. You can see that one a mile away!

Yes, they're a long-wave UV. Very stealth. I like 'em.

I like them for vaping out and about..doesn't call so much attention. It is however hard to see the blink unless I cup it in my hand.

I am so so happy to read this thread... I am requesting purple LEDs from now on!!! My biggest gripe so far has been that any other LED color (besides orange/red) draws far too much annoying and obnoxious attention from random people walking down the street. So knowing that purple LEDs are almost invisible (haven't gotten one yet) warms my heart.

I love Mary Kay's idea about the white LED with different color caps as well.

I have one batt with a purple light, orginally thought it was white or a very light blue until I had it in my computer room. I love it. As allready stated it doesn't attract much attention, and it works well in a pinch for checking leaks on a uv reactive coolant.

My month old lavender battery has a PINK LED The purple/UV sounds cool for certain situations. I've only seen colored cap ends with a company that uses CZs. Maybe colored plastic caps will exist one day soon.

I really like the CZ end cap. So much I even considered buying from the company that makes them but I really like my VaporKing so I'm going to pop the ash cap off & replace it with a CZ end myself. Already ordered the crystals & rim sets to do this but unfortunately, guessed the wrong size by just one! Now I have to wait until payday & order again in the next size down.
