Quality concerns

I work in quality assurance in an ISO certified company, so I have concerns when buying any product from particular areas of the world.

I've been limiting myself to purchasing USA made and sourced liquids mostly.

Are my concerns justified or should I be less worried about it since this whole thing started overseas.

Has anyone ever had issues with purity(I know this is relative) from chinese sourced liquid, or am I just worrying myself based on experience from my occupation.

I think it is just your occupation (Which makes you a smart consumer).

Knowing as much as you can about this product is good. The concerns you have (while good to ask) should be put to rest once you see the standards that these companies in China adhere to and the clean room standards of the plants and factories. This thread should answer many of your questions.

They also have testing and certification standards. Here is an example: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/healthcabin/28916-sgs-certification-our-liquid.html 99% of the liquid that comes from China is made by DeKang/Boge. I believe they have also registered with the FDA (though no company is approved by the FDA until legal decisions are made by the courts).

Personally, I worry a bit more about standards of some of the Mom & Pops putting liquid out there that is made out of their homes. There are no regulations in place here in the USA for consumer safety for e-liquid, though 99% of those in business seem to be practicing safely (as there haven't been any reports that I'm aware of that should be of concern). I have more faith in those who have at least registered with the FDA.

It is up to the consumer to check out companies before buying at this juncture. Known suppliers on ECF are definitely the way to go.
