yeah i am not good with all the technical jargon (that'w why we are so lucky to have leaford) lol i just go with what seems to work ....glad it worked for you too!! :toast:
I think that must be it... I tried again putting it on the V4L after I've been using it for awhile, and no burning. So fully charged it too hot for it, but after it 'calms down' then it seems OK. Thanks :)

i think it may have to due with the wic being wet on a fresh batt

Ah, I see. A fully charged KR8 is 4.2v, but it drops quickly to 3.7 for the majority of the charge. That would be the difference.

No, there's no voltage difference between V4L batts and MaxxFusion. And I have absolutely no explanation for a burnt taste that immediatly dissapears when you change batts. Anyine else have any idea?

Thanks for the response. I don't want to wait, so I went ahead and placed an order. If this works as well (for me) as people are saying, I won't mind ordering the new PCC when they're in stock.

Are you aware that your site doesn't send out confirmation emails after an order is placed? Or if it does, I was the exception. This can be rather disconcerting when placing an order, because one is not sure the order was received properly. I just got a shipping notice today, so no concerns now, but I spent a day wondering if my order went through.

@Frick

I have experienced the same thing and have been put off a bit by that. I have come to the conclusion that, for whatever reason, Bloog does not send an automatic email but rather a manual one when the order is received/processed. I could be wrong but the timing of when I receive the email is consistent with that behavior.

that is how the current system operates... they have to "pull" the orders down off of the site.... and when they do you will get a notification.

I actually did get a confirmation email, but it was two days after I ordered. My email marked it as spam, so I missed it, but they don't send one out upon ordering like most sites do. They did ship it the same day as the confirmation, though. I'm just spoiled by companies that ship your order the day you place it. :)

Honestly, if at all possible, that needs to change. People have come to expect a confirmation email directly after ordering. Think about it: you've just provided your credit card information to a site you heard about on an internet forum. It's nice to know "hey, we got your order, here's a list of what you ordered, and we'll be processing it shortly."

The website looks very nicely-designed and "professional". That makes people expect the service they've come to expect from such sites, and that includes a confirmation email. :)

Fair point.

Bump...

could it be the difference in airflow?

Giving sooperdrave a little bump so this speculation is not missed.

Restricted airflow can certainly be a factor in burnt juice.

At higher power from a freshly charged battery at 4.2v juice is vaporized
more quickly. If the vapor does not move adequately it will cook.

In my first month vaping, my auto-batteries (non-bloog) fresh off the charger started
causing a burnt taste. I had also started to notice an increased drag. A little reading
in the ECF and I learned that the battery threads and holes needed cleaning.

Cleaned the terminals and opened the gunked up holes... no more burning.

If you are getting a burnt taste on fresh batts, check to make sure your
air holes in the battery are open.

I will be ordering my first MaxxFusion batts and cartos soon for a friend I would
like to get off analogs... plus an extra for myself. Looking forward to what I expect
will be a fantastic product (and a smokeless friend).

I think you will be pleased. And I'll go look into ungunking the air holes. Thanks all.
