Really just how long they'll last. People on the mini state they go through anywhere from 2 to 4 batteries a day (1 to 3 changes.) Going by the mah, on a 18490 you'll get 1.5 times as much life. So expect an all day vape (probably not) to maybe 2 changes. You'll probably swap it out once. If you're a light to average vaper, on an 18650 there's a good chance of getting an all day vape. If you're a heavy vaper, I've seen some people say they have to swap once.

I haven't gotten my Provari yet, so this is just based on my research. And it's by no means all inclusive. I got the standard, because I figure I'll need to swap it once as a fairly heavy vaper. If I find that I'm swapping near the end of the day, and the extra length won't bother me, I can get the extension.

So basically, determine how much you vape, and if a bigger battery will be all that useful to you. Then decide which is more important, a small form factor, or a longer battery life. Personally, I'm pretty mobile for my job, and if I forgot a battery I could get stuck in a pretty crappy situation. I'll have a charger and a spare battery in my office, but that doesn't help if I'm offsite 40 miles away. I was tempted by the mini, but ended up with the standard with the 18490, with the option to go bigger. I also got a 5ml tank, so I should be pretty well off.

I agree with bryan29, don't bother with a blemished one when you can get the basic satin silver finish Provari mini for $160 at the ProVape site. I use the Provari mini with the 18350 batteries, and I have three of the batteries in rotation so that I always have two fresh ones ready to go. I am a heavy vapor, and usually go through two of the 18350 batteries in 24 hours. But I like the size of the mini and I feel like it takes too long to charge the 18650 batteries vs. the charge time on the 18350 batteries.

Why not get a Blem? They don't have one right now, but I thought the price goes around $140. You save $20, and get the same warranty. I've read posts that most of the blems can't be seen. This makes me very curious as the reasoning behind that statement.

Dont get blemished. They have silver for 159.99 brand new 2.5v. There awesome. If you have been through middle school you dont need a vw mod lmao. Btw ur paying for quality usa made. Not 1 $ per hour china junk

Thanks! I sent him a PM. I sure would like to have a Provari some day. If by chance, he chooses me, you'll see an eVic in the classies for a reasonable price to make up for my new purchase. I got eVic from a co-op and didn't pay retail. With all the excitement on it's "bells and whistles", I will probably sell it pretty easy. I thought I had just had to have a vw, I don't! I don't need the fancy screen, or any of that stuff. Just want something that works, not not afraid to drop.

if someone was so inclined, a friend has a black provari with some scratches on it with blue led for sale in classifieds for 55.00... no typo... 55.00.
she quit vaping and wants to help someone new who hasnt had one and preferably may not be able to afford one right now. its not first come first served so go tell her you need it.

Good Luck! As i said i have provari envey now lol. Can i afford one right now No but i will be able to in the future. I made the mistake of spending my budget plus some on ego twists and stuff to go with. Dont get me wrong i really do like them they fill my needs right now. But i have always been the boy with toys type that needs instant gratification lol. After my tax returns come in i will be getting one or 2 lol because i like to have backup roflmao. And i hear nothing but good things about them besides im a bit of a frugal shopper and waiting on some blems i can buy in the color i want lol.

Ok i have huge Provari envey right now lol. Gratz on your new Provari. But i do have a question to the seniors here whats the diff between the reg and the mini lol? I ask because they are the same price!

Both the regular Provari and the Mini have exactly the same inner electrical components.

The only difference is the length between the two, and what batteries they use, and how long you can go without changing a battery. Mah is an estimated average of battery useage. 100 mah = 1 hour use. Below are some visual demonstrations of four possible configurations between the two, and expected results using different batteries:

provari_vs_mini 3.jpg

Above image shows a Provari with it's extension cap (18650 battery = 2000 mah = 20 hours), Provari w/o extension cap (18450 battery = 1100 mah = 11 hours), and a Mini w/o extension cap (18350 battery = 700 mah = 7hours).

Provari_vs_Mini.jpg.

Above image shows a regular Provari (18450 battery = 1100 mah = 11 hours) and a Mini with extension cap (18450 battery = 1100 mah = 11 hours), which demonstrates their equality in battery time.

Nice pics. Really shows the size differences.

Since the last two questions have already been covered. I will answer the first question since it's subjective hehe. I think the world about this device. Call me a fan girl, I don't care. It's built solid, I drop everything... It hasn't broken yet  and well, I love it because it was the one thing in this world that made me quit smoking analogs. I loved all my other little mods but they just weren't as encompassing as the provari is to me. After getting the provari, it seemed to naturally open the doors to not only atomizers but cartomizers, carto tanks, and then rbas. It's like stepping into another world altogether. Provape's customer service is like no other. I have made a few newbie mistakes in the past, and I get instant responses and they have been willing to work with me every time. Communication and good customer service has always important to me (why I'll never get another Dell computer lol).

That's my take. Maybe I had too much coffee today but... meh. :toast:

I do think this is a great deal. But i have to say i hope this starts to be the norm. Why you ask? Well because IMO like anything else you buy new, the min you walk out the store or in this case open the box received the value always decreases. And you never recoup the money paid for the item. The fact that used ones have sold so high is mind boggling to me. Do some have extras with them yes but that doesn't mean it should be sold at almost the price paid. There are many examples I'm sure anyone here can think of where the item was bought got upgrades for it then down the line you decide to sell said item, you don't recoup the full amount of money spent even with upgrades. Does it add a little more value yes but not enough to recoup almost full value. Now this is just IMO because i would rather buy new for a few more bucks and get a warranty then buy used at almost the same price and no warranty. But if more were priced at this level then i have to admit yes i would buy because at that price I'm willing to for go the new w/ warranty for the used one, i think for obvious multiple reasons. Just felt the need to put that out there because thats how i feel about it. And to see someone sell this provari at this price makes me feel all mushy inside :p

Agree. (I hope she chooses me [chuckle]) I've seen the classies where they go for alomst the price of a new one. Not me. I'd just rather (and have to do without).
Seriously, I can't afford a new one, and need something that I can carry without fear of breaking. I have to do a lot of outside activities.

the one stacey has for sale would beperfect for you as an out and about mod as it already has scuffs and some scratches so you wouldnt have to baby it like if it was brand new. an option would be wraps for it and make it look how you want it to look. good luck everyone, probably be night time before she responds if she hasnt yet as she is one of my fellow latenighters
