Question about USPS

I'll keep it cute and simple. Everyone and there grandmother knows that 99.9% of post offices are closed on Sundays and that mail isn't delivered via post office. My question is, If I have an order I say put out on Friday and shipped Saturday, does the package actually travel on sunday or does it just sit in a sorting facility somewhere? Anybody know, cause I'm awfully curious and impatient and I WANT MAH GOODS NOWWWW

I don't know the definitive answer, but I WILL say that I have a really bad habit of contantly checking the USPS website when I have tracking numbers I'm waiting for, even on Sundays. I have seen that Priority-shipped vapemail does actually tend to travel on Sundays. At least that's my assumption being that I have seen it update from being processed in a sorting center (or some such) to being delivered to my state's hub on a Sunday.

Haven't seen Sunday updates on First Class or Parcel Post items, but I have seen Priority get updated.

Yep. Sorting and bulk mail centers are usually operating 24/7, and the USPS planes/trucks/railcars operate on Sundays as well, so don't worry -- your package is getting closer to your mailbox every hour.
Oh jesus, you look like a guy I don't like, from mass, a vapor, and even has dogs in your picture. You aren't sal right o.o

I have a Sunday-afternoon routine that includes stopping at the post office to pick up the mail from my box. A couple of months ago, I was out late Saturday night, and decided to check for mail on my way home because I didn't know if I'd be out-and-about the next day. Sunday afternoon I was still a bit fuzzy and was on auto-pilot, which led me to my mailbox before I remembered I didn't have to. A package was in the box that positively hadn't been there twelve hours before.

So, even at small post offices, things can get done on Sundays.

Sal? No, I am definitely not named Sal. And I'm not from Massachusetts -- born in Maine, living in exile.
I was mostly joking at first, but after I read your about me (didn't mean to creep) and studied the little white dog, I was almost convinced you were. Lol you are the spitting image of my girlfriends father, and that white dog is the spitting image of her Chihuahua. I thought it was funny though. Not that anyone cares about my personal life but I turned the guy onto e-cigs a couple months ago, then I had an argument with him like 2 days ago and he turned me to the cops saying I hit his daughter (A total lie btw) e.e...Now neither me nor my girlfriend will even walk on the same street as him

Ditto. I had an order sent out on Friday (from NY). I got it Monday.
