So, I currently use the Vmesh X1 mod with the Arctic Horizon Tech tank and 0.2 BTDC coils and I love it - great battery life, awesome taste and good clouds. I want another mod, call it a backup or what have you, the problem is it looks like the company may have went out of business or something because I can't find anywhere that has them in stock. The question I have is what mod would produce similar results to the setup I have now? I've looked all over the Web and can't find anything similar.

Never seen one before. AFAIK, there are no other 150 watt mods with a fixed battery. You can get them out the wazoo with lower power, but not that high. Maybe one of the DNA 200 mods-- that board needs 11 volts and thus takes 3 x 18650 or a 3S LiPo pack-- has one but I haven't heard of it off hand. If you want a new mod, right now I think the best buy out there is a Reuleaux RX200, $40 at Vapenw.

oh yeah, i've seen your mod plenty of times. was in the runnings for 1 of my xmas gifts but i wound up getting what i got. the vmesh looks pretty neat though. didn't really notice or realize that the vmesh was an internal battery mod, though. don't typically like that sort of thing for main PVs, backups, sure! hmmm, what's the W limits.... 150 non-adjustable? The TeslaTwo has internal batt (4000mah) and does 100w bro. Now THAT is a SNAZZY lookin' mod, bro. Ya might wanna look into the TeslaTwo. Beautiful. I JUSTTT recently seen another unregulated box-mod that did 150 watts. I can't remember if it was internal battery or x2 18650's.... But, it was a 150w mech-style box mod. I should remember the name but for some reason I cannot- I'm sorrry man. Wish I could... Whatever, just know it's out there.

The TeslaTwo (and the TeslaTwo SILK edition) (and the TeslaTwo Granite edition) and then there was that 150w unregulated box mod I cannot seem to remember the damn name-of. Just google 150 watt unregulated OR google: 150 watt unregulated box mod. OR google: 150 watt box mod. & you SHOULD be-able to find that damn thing... I'm not positive if you'll be-able to, but you SHOULD be able 2 find it. lol. I mean, if google is on it's crawler game!! :p

Good luck at any rate & have a damn good vape journey my fellow vaper. :D

@Plumes.91 beat me to it, I was also going to throw out the Tesla Two, which I also have and is great. It will support down to .15 or maybe .18; the newer version may be all the way down to .1 but I'm sure it will support your coils either way as I often use .2s on my older one. It has an internal battery and it's quite good. Some places call it a "100W" mod but as it's unregulated I don't see how this is the case, even with a MOSFET. I believe it can do a bit more with a coil of suitably low resistance.

Similar to the above, there is the Tesla Invader 2 (I'm pretty sure that's the name) that will take either two 18650s or two 26650s, though it's correspondingly large.

Depends on if you want another unregulated or regulated, and whether you want to buy spare batteries. I have 3x Samsung 25Rs in my Rx200 and they were like $5 each; @Asylumsix is right that you could get even more life out of LG HG2s they were just out of stock when I ordered. Either one of the Teslas or the RX200 would work for your current topper (and there are others) but they're just different beasts.

It might be nice to have a regulated mod that you can change the power on just as something different from your current one IMO, but some people are just crazy about unreg.

Appreciate all this info. I'm not dead set on an unregulated mod at all, it was just one that I finally found that lasted longer than and hour and it was easy, I could just start ripping on it without having to worry about adjusting settings. I've done a little research and it appears that mine vapes at 88.2 watts with my coil - not sure that's what some little conversion deal said - so I like the sound of the RX200, because like you said it might be kind of fun to have some versatility, plus from what you guys said it has good battery life.

just be sure you read-up on dual and x3 battery mods. you must not use those paired or triple-grouped batteries in any single battery mods. They HAVE to be drained & charged at the SAME rates, all of them. You cannot take the 3 batteries you use for an RX200 and use them individually in another mod. they have got to remain together, used together, in 3 battery mods only. drained + charged together, always.

Yes, that's right. At full power and .2ohms on the nose, your current mod will give you 88.2 watts and decrease from there as the battery dies.

I completely agree that unregulated mods are nice to just have a button and go, not have to worry about settings. However, the RX200 is fairly simple and the reality is that a lot of times, you'll dial into a setting you like and keep it there for a long while as long as you don't change toppers. And again, a mod that takes 3x 18650s will certainly give you more than an hour of puffing.

But yes, what @Plumes.91 said, again. Make sure you do a little reading and researching before diving in about marrying batteries and charging/discharging when first getting them, but nothing said in this thread was incorrect afaik.

Right on. So as long as I'm not trying to use the 18650s individually I'm good. I think I might go this route as the RX200's power capability would allow for a direct drip topper if I wanted in the future. Thanks again for all the help!

well, ya technically cannot use them in a dual battery mod w/out the 3rd, or a single batt mod without the other two batteries. never use them individually or paired. basically, NEVER use em outside your RX200. lol. you shouldn't use the batts that you use in a 3 battery mod in any other mod, ever, basically. ;) & definitely head on over to the battery safety forum for some great info on how to use rechargables safely. Everyone needs to give it a read as a refresher every so often & once in a while. :) enjoy da new moddd!

Yeah that's what I was getting at I guess, basically leave em in the RX until their bad. Thanks again man.

Yeah, and the RX can charge through passthrough... though if you can afford it I would recommend a good charger, like a Nitecore. ATM Samsung 25Rs are on sale at IMRBatteries for $5 a pop and the LG HG2s are $8... price may be beat elsewhere but I was very happy with IMR's prices and service. Personally I got 6 to have a set of backups but it does add up money-wise.

Good info on batteries in the thread already, nothing much to add other than to say yes, you seem to understand perfectly, in the case of the RX each set of 3 batteries should always be used together and rotated through the slots, and never in any other device or with other batteries. It's a good point to drive in for anyone reading the thread. It's really not a lot different than having a built in battery in the sense that each set of batteries is tied to the mod for the duration of their life. You just have the luxury of easily replacing when dead, or swapping out a fresh set.

even a cheap black chinese no-name 3 or 4 port charger would-be nice to have. you can use the usb, I have no issue with charging your batts via the mod's usb port. i don't know why people dislike it so much. I only have chinese chargers so what "should" I use to charge my batts, a 60 dollar mod or a 5 dollar no-brand charger? lol.
