Since I have no sense of smell nor taste as I've mentioned before, I'm using only unflavored Nic36 cut with unflavored no nic VG,and a hint of Vodka for sweetness which my tastebuds can detect a bit. Is it the exotic syrups and flavors everyone uses that speeds the need to change or clean coils ?

I'm going on 14 days and the wick is bright white and nearly transparent in dead center and looks like one of those Chinese clear noodles they make. Pulling the tube away from the coller to see the coil shows me no difference than when I first installed it. I'm not complaining and I've got all the cloud I want and good strong hits but I'm just curious to know if coil and/or wick changing is more a need when one uses flavors and syrups ..... I bought about 25 coils and I'm thinking I'm good for over a year unless 'gunked' or clogged or burnt means something completely different than what I'm seeing. The vaping is thick, draw is easy, a little crackle from the Vodka ... am I good I guess ?

Never! I hardly sure clearos anymore, but I still hoard coils. Batteries are my real addiction though.

Oh ya ... I made a foam case and I'm lining up twister 900's like I'm making Terra Cotta Warriors for burial ! To get really knowledgable with one particular unit is just my own way to do things and I really do like the Majestic ARO starter kits ... With the exception of changing out the stock tanks to the V2 Pyrex one, I'm seeing its not much more expensive to just buy 3 or 4 starter kits, and I'm building up the included chargers to put them everywhere I want ....

I know, I have quite the collection of coils. Still don't think I have enough, but got a lot of them.

I was such a heavy smoker that when I go out for hours or a few days on end I take the whole foam kit and put it on my car seat ... I want absolutely nothing to force me into an analog bind or need .... As it stands, if I were stranded on a desert island bout now I could vape for over a year ! ...Oh crap ! no electricity ! .... never mind !!!!

I was very slow in my vaping journey. Learning the idiosyncrasies of each new thing I added, including sacrificing a number of them to see what was inside. I'm quite pleased I took that approach. I figured out lots of tricks to fix leaks and get acceptable clouds out of cheap devices that aren't supposed to do it.

You got that right Ocelot ... I don't post every goofy experiment I try But I know you're right about making a less expensive unit do some really satisfying things ! I fly RC huge model sailplanes so I learned years ago about the dangers and quirks of LIPO and Lyon as these planes often use up to 6 cell casings with 22.2 volts@ over 4000Mah depending on the motor size ... they match nitro planes for power in many cases and unload fast even high discharge ... I'm feeling lazy now about making my own coil wraps though , no taste has helped me out this time and they are only $1.50 or thereabout ...

I think I vaped for almost 2 years before starting to build. I put it off, since I knew it would be something I would get hyper-focused on and I had too much work to get distracted. Then some heavy real life stuff came up and it was perfect. I can lose myself for hours wrapping little tiny pieces of wire that are always a surprise, since the wraps are too small for me to actually see and count even with strong readers. I've gotten quite good at making micro coils by feel.
