More so for educational purposes. I own a few mods and a buddy of mine owns quite a few others and we basically make sure that neither of us own the same mod the other one has, so if we want to trade back and forth, we can. It's like a community pool of mods.
He's been playing around with a few that have threading issues, whether they're too tight/loose or squeaky, and fixing them (
not for sale or for business, just fixing them for personal use - just to clarify), so I wanted to get a list of a few mods to test his fix on to see if it really works or if he's just lucky with the 2-3 he's played with so far.
I know Noalox works on threads, but both of us are around water quite a bit and Noalox + Water isn't really a great combination as water can react to zinc dust, which is what's in it (even their MSDS states it'll react). So it's not really an option for us (but for most normal applications - it works).
I wonder why you are seeking the worst offenders?
Most ask for the best.
Just scratching my head and wondering.
