A very good post with truly excellent responses, for my $0.02 ill say:

Ive been vaping for 3.5 days, just got my pv on sat, and haven't smoked an analog since, oh ive tried, but there's no throat hit any more (vaping throat hit is much stronger and i LOVE IT), and i cant stand the taste, now i will admit i still love the smell of previously burned tobacco(it just makes me want a hit off my pv now). Not only that but in only 3.5 days time, i not coughing, for the first time in 5-7 years i can laugh at a joke without gasping for breath duh to hacking cough, i can breath a little deeper, i can already smell more things than im used to (kinda sucks when i go into the port-o-potty at work, but its awesome when i go to my moms and shes cooking) i havent used my advair since saturday either. i get support from friends and most of my family, my mom likes to make snide comments about my new "pacifier" but she doesnt preach against it (she smoked for 22+ yrs and just quit with some fancy prescription about 5 months ago) the only real naysayers ive had is this kid i go to class with (im a first year electrician's apprentice) and he just kept preaching "But it isn't approved by the FDA!" and my response was "neither are Cigarettes" lol, now im not saying everyone will have my experience, im just telling mine. i love my PV and i plan on using it and others like it for a long time, i was smoking since age 10, the social/functional habits included with that are ingrained into my personality and i dont mind them, especially not now that im feeling healthier, im in a better mood for the most part, and i dont make my best friend (who is severely allergic to smoke) sick every time he comes to my apartment

Oh, boy, another chance to bop my brother-in-law...he's the one that always says 'you still sucking on that thing?'
Well, duh...I could have quit cold turkey like he did, but he swapped out nicotine for an extra 100 pounds of fat! Which one of us do you suppose needs a shrink??? Heh???
The way I look at it, I should be able to give it another 43years+37days , I smoked for 44 years, so figure I can see if the effects were the same. I'll let you all know. By the way, my weight is the same as a year ago.

I find seeing the humor in a situation like this is the best scenario. E-cigs are the least of my worries. I am a liberal tree hugger socio-communist freak agnostic taoist attending the largest evangelical right wing christian college in the world. XD (that was a lot of adjectives)

I'd just make a joke out of the attacks. You quit analogs for you anyhow, not everyone else. Softness always beats hardness. (Theres some Taoist fruit cake passivised pansy liberal dogma from my library to take home. The first ones free, the next ones gonna cost you. :p)

I am sure there is something about the ecig/vape action that bothers your daughter. I hope you are able to have a talk with her, without sarcasm, threats, insults, etc, and just explain what is happening with you. I sure hope you find a peaceful solution for the long run.
I am lucky that my kids never bothered me about smoking. I know they didn't like it, but they respected my decision. I also kept it as far away from them as I could, so minimal direct contact.
Best of luck,
Ken
