In my 31 months vaping, I also have not experienced the anticipated 'lung cleansing cough'.

My chest x-rays of 5 years ago had the beginning signs of emphysema. After over two and a half years vaping since then, my recent x-rays are normal for my age (66+)!

So, I'm sure that our internal system is absorbing and 'flushing' the ol' nasties away.

BTW, my O2 absorption level went from 92 to 99!

Have vaped exclusively for over 3 years, 30 year pack a day+ smoker, and have never coughed up any gunk. On the other hand I had quit cold turkey once for 7 months and didn't then either. Had a set of chest x-rays and other tests ran for a surgery last December and got a clean bill of health on everything, except for what I was going in for of course. I really think it's a combination of the person, the lifestyle, the particular cigarette smoked, etc.

i am on day 35 without a cig. i smoked for 25 year and a pack a day. i see people mention there lungs clearing up and they are hacking up this stuff. i haven't done that or even started. is this something not everyone does? or is 35 days to early to expect this? i want this darn stuff out of my lungs....lmao

Despite heavy smoking for decades, I was still breathing pretty good when I quit smoking. I wasn't waking up with that horrible hacking cough that so many get.

And I never went through the "hack my lungs off" phase that some people get when they move to smoking.

A good friend of mine did used to wake up coughing and hacking, every day, when she was smoking. She started vaping after she saw it working for me, and after a few months, she said that she would wake up feeling fine, able to breathe, no more hacking and coughing.

I think everyone just reacts different.

Add me to the Mucinex crew! For the first month or so I ran a huge list of ailments. I can now say I haven't felt this good since I was in my 30's! (I'm in my late 50's now)
I do! I do! So funny. So gross. And +1 for Mucinex with extra water.

Ok, you mentioned gummed up coils and bad taste.... have you done a dry burn on those? Helps tremendously.
