When I first started vaping, I easily transitioned from analogs to my e cig. Then the peer pressure at work got to me. Now I find myself smoking analogs during the day, and chain vaping at night. I vape at 18-20mg of nicotine. Now I'm afraid that I'm getting so much nicotine that the e cig alone won't cut it. Any suggestions? Tips? Prayers? Good vibes? Advice on rejecting the oh so tasty and tempting office cigarette time?

carry your e-cig with you when its the normal smoke break time. stand back from everyone enough to where you can still chit chat but puff away on your e-cig. determination goes a long way, my friend didn't kick the analogs completely till he found out he was gonna be a father. He did the same as you cigs at work, vape at home for over a year till he was motivated to quit cigs for good.

Even at high nicotine levels you will get some cravings when all the toxic flushes out. So you'll still need some determination to get through that. And you could possibly raise your nicotine if 20mg is not enough. There's some that smoke 36mg but i guess that's quit high. I'm at 24 and doing great. And i've stopped smoking at work completly (not even vaping) So when i get home i can sit down and enjoy my e ciggy :)

Don't let your 'peers' control you. Perhaps my story will help you...
My son handed me an e-cig around noon, Sept. 23, 2012... I haven't smoked since. Caught some of grief from folks at first, but I didn't care. I could breath again, so the digs didn't bother me. After seeing me vape for months, some of the guys at one of the job sites I work at, started asking questions. They stated vaping, and within 4 months, damn near every smoker at that facility became a vaper.
Now, members of my family are trying it.
Ditch the smokies, and vape like you mean it. Trust me, it's contagious.

Everyone switches at their own rate. You have to want to quit and use that when around them along with your ecig to get you through. If u are using an ecig like Blu and aren't getting full maybe you should try a vapor pen with a flavor you like. Try to find a vape shop where you can go in and try different flavors and nic lvls. I have been using a vape pen for almost a month and I still have a couple real each day. The morning and after work are my hardest to kick other parts of the day even after eating pen works great. But when I am around other smokers I feel the need for a real one really bad. I haven't caved in with them yet but I don't give myself much time to because I really want to stop them completely. Not sure if it's I just want to fit in with the crowd again or habit or maybe a combination. Good luck to you.

Heck yeah. I agree 1006.2%.

And when you are vaping away while they smoke that old and expensive stinky, make sure you smile in a knowing way that
shows you know something they don't. Be happy and if they tell you they think you look stupid - tell them to google celebrities vaping. There is bound to be someone there that they think is sexy, smart or whatever.

On my first day, anytime I had a craving, I would pull out my ecig and vape away at 18mg. I would get home from work and have an analog for relief, just because I wasn't 100% satisfied with vaping. The second and third day was the same.
Then I switched to 24mg of nic on bobas bounty with an upgraded device. Since then, I've been analog free.
I would suggest to up the nicotine and finding your taste is key! Try everything and anything to drop the analogs. I'm sure you'll find it soon.

Good luck!:toast:

Try carrying an extra topper (tank, carto, whatever you use) with you that has a higher nicotine juice in it. Cigarettes deliver the nicotine almost instantly whereas the ecig nicotine takes a bit longer to get in your system. When you have those cravings, use the higher nic. When you have been off the cigarettes for a while, they are going to start smelling pretty disgusting, or at least they do to most people. Also, many people find that they naturally lower the nicotine as time goes on.

Many of us have had to use quite a high dose of nicotine to get over that “hump.” Don’t worry about it, just concentrate on quitting. I had to use 24mg and that also made me lightheaded/dizzy, gave me tinnitus and some bang-up headaches, but that was what it took. Once over the hump I dropped to 16mg and now am using 7mg and dropping. I’m not worried about the nic, it’s not a carcinogen and there are benefits to it. I’m dropping because the nicotine keeps becoming too much for me.

Next time you get rzzed to have a cigarette, keep in mind what they are doing is getting you to smoke a dead plant that has up to 4,000 chemicals and something like 67 known carcinogens. Y’know, just say no. :D

Flavor!
Get yourself bunch of awesome flavors and vape next to your friends. Carry a few extra drip tips. So they can taste it and be blown away by the flavor. Good luck and vape strong!

Echoing what many others had to say, a lot of determination needs to be put forward. You will get there if you really want it!

Yes, stay away from the smokers on break- like keep some distance or maybe try to go for breaks when they aren't if that's possible. It's too easy to bum a smoke and most smokers want to see you cave and win you back over to the darkside.

They really do get a tickle about that it seems...

I've smoked for 38 years, a package of 25 a day, with absolutely no luck at any other method of quitting smoking. Not the patch, gum, inhaler, nothing. I just haven't had any ability to quit those stinky cancer sticks. Till almost 2 weeks ago. Now I smoke 1 cigarette, partly in the am, partly before bed, but that's 24 a day I DON'T smoke. I'm going to try to up my nicotine to 24 mgs from 18, and hope that that will settle those awful morning and nightly cravings. My husband- also a smoker- is amazed and has totally lost our bet of me quitting smoking, him drinking. You have to quit for yourself- I started vaping on the month anniversary of my mother's death from COPD, and my late fathers birthday. I really love sweets and what's helping me is buying really yummy sweet ejuice--I get dessert and a "smoke" at the same time. I work from home and I don't have to worry about peer pressure at my age anyway--when I smoked I was often the lone smoker, now I'm not quite so alone as a vaper. My husband also wants to try vaping, which suits me fine- we'll be healthier and smell much better. Just keep doing it, keep it up and don't get discouraged, it's a hard addiction to break. Whatever works, works. Every cigarette NOT smoked is a minor victory, every single one. Remind yourself of that on a daily basis. I am so very thankful that we can still (carefully) buy ecigs in Canada, and hope regulations stay far away as long as possible while I build up a fortress of juice and kits!

This!!!

I would work on finding devices and flavors/juice that you enjoy vaping each smoke break/all day. I think that carrying an extra tank/carto that you can switch out is a great idea, and I would add an extra battery, so you don't generate any physical excuses. You could even get into dripping, for the whole "ritual effect".

A tank of unflavored WTA has helped me tremendously. I regularly vape some unflavored 24mg alongside my smoking significant other, and in social settings, etc. and have actually come to enjoy it more, and in the same way, that I enjoyed smoking. Plus, it usually is a hit with the smokers, and it gives you an opportunity to share some valuable knowledge with others ;) .

Love the quote "vape like you mean it. Trust me, it's contagious." +1
