I clicked "Like" on everyone's posts because I just really wanted everyone to know I really appreciate the time people took to read my post and then respond with their opinions and experiences.

About the MAOIs in tobacco - I had never heard of that before and I can't say I've looked into it, but it makes sense. If not that, there is definitely SOMETHING in those things beside nicotine that is HIGHLY addictive, whether it's one of those 4000+ mystery chemicals or some other intentionally added product they put in and don't disclose. I can say at 56mg fluid during the first five days of switching over, I had a headache and nausea from so much nicotine yet I was STILL kicking something. It made no sense. Whatever that something was though, I'll never know, but an MAOI is definitely a viable theory since those have a bit of a withdrawal when discontinued as medications.

Anyway, I've decided to go down to the 3mg next month, and then I'm going to go down to 0mg. I vape constantly, because I'm addicted to the psychological aspect - I think. If the nicotine deprivation is too much for me though, I'll have plenty of 3mg, 6mg, 12mg, 18mg, 24mg, 36mg, and 56mg on hand as backup, plus my old Blu E-Cigs... I would certainly rather go back to nicotine vaping than ever risk touching a cigarette again. I will keep posted with my journey... Hopefully I can get down to nothing and no vaping, specifically because I'm into free diving, and I think it would be best for my lungs and oxygen capacity to not be inhaling anything at all other than air. We'll see how it goes though... I really appreciate everyone's support <3

Do not buy expensive hardware. Do not let it become your hobby. Vaping 15 ml a day is already too much, even with lower nicotine concentration. Vaping is an addiction. By far not as bad as cigarette addiction, but still an addiction. However there are some people addicted to climbing mountains. These addicts have sizably higher mortality rate, by they are rather happy addicts…

Congrats on being smoke free for 2 months 2 weeks and 2 days :toast:

If your choice is to completely stop vaping then I strongly suggest not to rush the process. As wonderful as it is to have been smoke free for 2 months its not a terribly long time. As other's have said, once a smoker always an addict with a risk of returning to smoking even when we don't realize it. Using 15ml of 12 mg juice per day is on the higher side of the juice usage scale. It would be the same as someone using 7.5 ml of 24 mg juice per day. Nothing wrong with that, ;) It just indicates that your body is still requiring higher amounts of nic then you might realize.

As you lower your nic level remember you don't have to move only down to the next level but you can alternate throughout the day using different levels while your body adjust to the new lower levels. You dont have to go from 12 mg to 6 mg as you could mix the two (if you are purchasing from a vendor) and have 9 mg juice. Or any other increments in between with the right mixture. Many people have trouble adjusting to the lack of throat hit with the low or no nic levels.

We're all so different so there is no one size fits all answer. Some people can easily reduce their levels and stop vaping . We dont hear a lot from most of them because once they stop vaping they shortly after stop posting here on ECF We tend to only hear from them again because unfortunately they started smoking again and return to give vaping another try. Others find they can reduce their nic level to say 6 mg with little problem but have a very hard time staying below that.

About 4 months after I started vaping I lost my addiction to nicotine. I was attempting to lower my nic level, but at the time I wasn't looking to stop using nicotine. I've spent several years mostly using zero nic juice but occasionally enjoying some under 6 mg juice. I guess you could say that after my initial effort to switch from smoking to vaping for the most part I've just let nature do its own thing. As I approach my 4 year vaping anniversary I find myself vaping less and less. I'll always own vaping supplies should I ever feel the need to light a cigarette up again but I do see a day in the future that I simply no longer vape.
