In my experience, delivery devices easily make the biggest difference (aside from the juices). Battery types make a difference ie eGo style vs mods, but not near the same level as delivery devices.

There are huge differences between cartomizers and clearomizers. Then there are big differences between types within them - top coil vs bottom coil; single coil vs dual coil. Then there's the draw - tight vs airy. Some devices mute flavors more than others.

My one complaint with Halo hardware is there aren't enough tank options. They should offer a bottom coil tank such as the Evod along side the current tank. There's a huge difference between the T2 and the Evod.

As far as glass vs plastic goes, there really shouldn't be a difference if you're not vaping a "tank cracker" juice, but I personally perceive one. Maybe it's a placebo effect, but juices taste better/cleaner in my glass tanks than they do in my very similar plastic tanks. Then again, beer always tastes better out of pint glass than a plastic cup.

I think halo might be aiming for a different market than other players. They want a small interoperable line that just works for the majority of people.
I guess you could then say, if halo doesn't work for you, you're not in halos market.
since all halo juices works with halo tanks, the only reason halo would offer a glass tank is so people can use other other vendors tank busting juices.
as for bottom coil/top coil, I personally don't notice a difference.

Smokeless Image's new line of tanks is out. All bottom coils, some double coiled.

Sadly, the replacement heads are so expensive ($3 ea.), one might as well stick with the Nano tanks.

Halo's got it right; the Triton (T2) is by far the most cost efficient solution, and it happens to perform better than most BCCs.

All it's missing is a glass option. I'm getting close to taking one of my tanks to a local glass/art shop and have them take a shot at making me one. It's precision work, but not impossible.

Heck, if it works, maybe I can start offering them as "upgrade kits" :D (some assembly required)

Wow, I agree on most everything.

Once you get into VV, there is NO difference between the various power devices to the quality of the vape. OK, there is style, longevity, cost, prestige, etc. But with a given tank/carto/atomiser and a given juice, if it needs 4.2 volts, it doesn't matter what gives the 4.2 volts. ProVari 4.2v, Halo 4.2v, my lawnmower battery with a transformer's 4.2v, even a Lionel toy train transformer's 4.2 v are all the same!

It's all about getting that juice hot and vaporized. And yes, Huge differences in the devices. Yes, Halo needs some more tank options, but they seem quite successful with the KISS principle.

I don't understand the glass vs plastic thing either. I don't think I'll be able to tell in vape, since wick and coil also come into the equation, and a side by side would be tough.

But no question that beer is better in a tall Pisner glass than a red plastic party cup. Definitely better than a sippy cup. but not as good as the one your buddy buys you for turning him on to vaping...

I notice a huge difference between a Triton tank and an Evod. Particularly in menthols. IMO the T2 vs Evod is a fair comparison - both are plastic and have a similar draw. Menthols in particular taste cold (in a good way) in an Evod, yet they taste warm (relatively) and somewhat muted in the T2.

Evod vs Protank is also a good comparison of glass vs plastic IMO, as they have the same coil and similar draw (Protank's is a bit airier); the Protank tastes cleaner and less muted.

Non-menthols also taste cooler in bottom coil tanks, but not to the extent of menthols.

All just my observations. Please don't interpret this as me thinking I have superior taste buds by any means. It could very well be entirely in my head. If that's the case, ignorance is bliss is all I have to say.

Bottom coils are a popular choice for Menthols, but that's about it. Everyone's different. I tried a T3, and now it's permanently "parked" in my spares box.

I did order a sample of Halo's HX3, because I don't "hate" menthols, I just like an occasional different taste. Maybe I'll pull out that T3 again... (not that HX3 is really a Menthol, but as close as I care to get to one, for now).

The glass "thing", is for those people that enjoy e-liquids that are known to attack polycarbonate tanks. MBV has quite a few of them.

I just returned from spending Thanksgiving with my son. We were somewhere where it was quite inconvenient for him to go outside and have his smokes with normal frequency (but, of course, easy peasy for me to vape as I chose to.)
I loaned him my Triton with Tribeca (he had a nasty cold thing, so I made sure to bring a small supply of alcohol to soak the "compromised" mouthpiece when he returned the loaner.)
Although he didn't volunteer that it was the best thing since sliced... he did admit that it was the most pleasing e-cig type device and flavor he's experienced. I smell Christmas gift, and see where it goes from there.
Thanks for all the comments and advice you've shared.:toast:

Forget the father and sons moments, bring on the bonus points!

family is important. perhaps the most important thing in all life. the cherished bond between parent and child, brother and sister, Kramer and Kramer, is not to be overlooked.

having said that...i would kill a homeless guy, in front of my own grandmother, during a Satanic ritual, then sell his hepatitis infested kidney to my own brother for Halo points.

but other than that, we're pretty close.
