another surrender....she wants a confrontation, Diva is obviously the kind that feeds off conflict.

See wheezal, what your trouble is, is that you don't understand the neurological benefits of healthy 'verbal banter'! It's very therapeutic in that it stimulates visual imagery, internal/external perception, and my personal favorite: clears your sinuses! And ANOTHER thing...( I thought Texans LIKED feisty wimmens) lol....at least that's what my 1st husband said! :p.....oh, and I found the hidden digi cam

you actually reinforced my point. wimmens dont get feisty if you keep surrendering to them and giving em flowers. especially after little things, otherwise what are you gonnna buy em when you REALLY screw up (this is a realm i live in, trust me).

diamonds are for relationships that last longer than a few days, otherwise gift cards and cab fare seem to work out most of the time.

My rambling: I was able, over the last few months, to stay off the cigs (using stuff like Apollo and White Cloud) while out of the house. But, at home, stepping out on the porch and having my American Spirits was hard to overcome. Thanks to all the advice and support from you folks:toast:, and switching to the Triton (along with the G6), two weeks ago, without really intending to do so, I had my last analog. Strange. Still have a half pack in the cupboard.
Overall, I'm content with the Halo hardware and software. (But, did just order some Boba, Gorilla and Heather's to compare with the Tribeca, which has been a really pleasing juice.) I did have a leaking tank (which Halo replaced), and what, based on other postings, appears to have been vapers tongue. These have passed (the martinis did definitely help with the VT) and I'm enjoying my set-up again.

My request for advice is this: since this is my first experience with a PV (did I get the acronym right, or is it an APV, or something else?) and since I'd like to try to steer my son away from analogs toward some sort of e-cig:
for those of you, who are many out there, who have far more experience than I: is the Halo hardware as nice as it seems to my neophyte eyes, or should I be guiding my boy to something else that's comparable functionally but superior?
I recognize this may be a biased sub-forum, but it's clear from your posts that you've been around.
what do you think?

Here is the dirty little secret that people don't like to acknowledge or even talk about on ECF. It underscores what you have already read in this thread about the Halo eco system and the quality of their juices. Of course I concur.

Here we go: Once you have a Triton tank and a Triton VV bat and learn how to use them properly you have reached the finish line. By that I mean and for example: A glass tank is only a subtle difference. Juice doesn't taste better on a ProVari compared to a lower priced mod. Other mods are no more than a battery tube with a few bells and whistels thrown in. So the law of diminishing returns kicks in for every additonial dollar spent for this mod or that mode, an 8ML tank, a glass tank. a drip drip atomizer/mod, RBA etc.

I've got plenty of "other stuff" in large quantities and I'm fine and supportive of other folks who want to venture beyond Halo universe as long as everyone realizes that were talking about "subtle" Issue. I also enjoy looking at ECF members who have 20 different mods, rebuild their own heads, DIY (me to) and all of this is fine with me. It is for this EXACT reason (tank + vv) that Halo has the current Hardware line up. Smart folks.

We could probably help your son choose a juice and NIC level after he selects his Halo starter kit. How long has he smoked? How much does he smoke. What brand and or flavor does he smoke. Finally, and this is a BIGGIE as in HUGE! Is he committed to trying vaping or is he just trying to make Dad happy or go away? / no offence intended.

:)

sshhh, that was a secret!!

Well stated, SeniorBoy. When all is said and done, electrons thru the coil. I will take your advice.

After I pop for 2 Halo VV, you probably will save me hundreds. (At least for the next few months...)

And thanks, at times, the Halons tend to drift off topic.

Sorry SeniorBoy...It's some of these "other people" around here. They take advantage of my short attention span. :(

Good thing I don't have to choose between straight (and really good, thank you) answers and the girls and boys going off post (and amusing me no end.)
First, without saying so explicitly, I was asking about Halo gear vs. all else, as much for me as for guiding others. Your answer was enlightening and not unexpected to me, trembling amateur that I am.
Second, looking forward to getting a VV at some point soon.
Third, no offense taken. My boy is grown and gone. He knows I neither seek nor expect his making me happy. Nor have we ever actually talked about him getting off analogs. Nor does he even know that I've switched. Simply, that at some point, for his own good (he's already coughing at too young an age) and he's never mastered holding the butts away from his body (so he stinks), that I'd like to provide some slight spark to help him on his way, and was wondering if the product path I've chosen and found beneficial and enjoyable is reasonably optimal (for me and him.)
Last, absolutely right. Until he gets some sort of motivation to move toward a vaping solution, there isn't much point in pushing or prodding. Well, maybe a little prodding.
Really, as I think through the last couple of weeks without cigs or saran wrap, a couple of things strike me. It really isn't a perfect substitute for smoking, though I can't yet put my finger on why, yet close enough. But, in many ways it is far more pleasurable, so it wasn't that hard for me at all. But also, if it weren't more pleasurable, it wouldn't work, because it is far more work. Much easier to get my pack of American Spirits, polish off the ...., toss and done. No refilling, no cleaning, no waiting on the internet orders, no trying to figure out if my coil is burnt or my tank on its last legs, or do I have VT, or just not enjoying the juice... But, it is more pleasurable, and though never a heavy smoker, I do feel better.
Rambling again.
Thanks. I'll get back to you if he gets serious about vaping and if I can't by then answer his questions for him.:toast:

Newyork13 you are correct.

They have to be motivated to quit analogs and stick with vaping.

My daughter started vaping before I did and she smokes more than she vapes.

Weird to me because I can't even imagine smoking an analog now but when I started vaping I threw the analogs away and stuck with it til I didn't care about smoking anymore.

I am trying to encourage her, but there's only so much one can do.

When I made the decision to start vaping, I used a cheap set up from our local Smoke shop til my Halo order could arrive.

So glad I did because I really appreciated the quality of Halo Triton once I received it.

Down the road I would like to venture out and get a VV but I know I will always use my Triton.

The funny thing is, that "cheap" set up from the Smoke shop cost 35.00 for a Ego battery, a disposable tank and a el cheapo USB charger. (Not even a wall charger).

I paid 61.74 for my Halo Triton with 2 batteries, 2 tanks with replaceable coils, USB and wall charger, and a 10ml bottle of SC.

So really Halo is a great price for what you receive.

Anyway, love watching you guys go back and forth.

It's way more entertaining than TV!

Love you guys!

Cindy
