Steep... a word used in the wrong context when it relates to E juice.

one steeps tea, a solid is soaked in a fluid to extract its flavors. the only time "steeps" can be used in the vaping world is when one steeps tobacco in a base fluid ( Everclear,VG,PG etc)

the correct term should be "age" as in one ages wine to enhance its flavor. :)

As I already explained, I thought this might become an interesting discussion (and help others) Did you even read my previous comment about this, or just jump in with the "just google it" thing?
Hey look, I'm sorry but I did reply again with an answer to one of your questions. Did you see that? This thread is probably not a good place for me right now as I'm overwhelmed with what's going on in my state with the vape ban et al. and not in a good place to be disseminating information. Just bad timing. I hope you get your answers and have fun with your thread. Good Luck:)

No worries... I've been super stressed out too (for other reasons and add to that the vape situation) Crazy world we live in! I also apologize for being so defensive... now didn't that feel good ;)

Velocity Deck - From the popularity of the Velocity RDAs sold by Avidvaper Velocity V2 RDA

It has/had several appeals. A clever two post design that makes it very easy to build two coils on; a clever airflow adjustment mechanism; the V2 version supports squonking at a time when squonking was semi-new (I forget if the V1 did, but V2 came with a squonk pin option); and they were (probably still are) hand machined. They have a kind of good old fashion tough metal look (think old fashion Harley motorcycle appeal). Version 1 and 2 were around $100 when they came out, so targeted at the die-hard RDA users. It probably helped too that Rip Trippers, who was a major influencer, at the time version 1 came out gave it such high praises. Other influencers as well had high praises.

FWIW I still use my Velocity RDA (version 2). Built like a tank, it's one of those you expect to last a life time. You can still buy replacement o-rings, and screws, the parts that wear out.

p.s. and yes, the deck design is so simple to build on the design has been re-used in several other RDAs since.

I have the RDA that comes with the Aspire "Quad Flex" kit... it has a velocity style deck and I love it! The kit also allows converting to a RDTA (or a Nautilus X MTL tank with drop-in coils) It was called the "survival kit" and even comes with a squonk pin for the RDA. The few that are still left can be had very cheap!
