You know, that is the second time I have been called a boy today. At some point, that became a compliment!

BTW - The Lowest any of my VVPV's go is 3.3 Volts. So with a .8ohm Atomizer Coil, that would be about 13.6 Watts.

I have Never tried Anything that I liked at 9 Watts with Any of my e-liquids. Let Along 13.6 Watts.

So or me, using a .8 ohm Atomizer Coil isn't in My Future.

But that Doesn't Mean that someone Else might not Like Hitting on a 13.6 Watt Coil.

The reason the vape gets harsh and you loose flavor with commercially available low resistance coils is because they are made with thin wire, which overheats and starts cooking your juice. SLR builders usually use at least 28ga wire, some even use 26ga. This means the coil temp doesn't get ridiculously high, so you get better flavor, but you have tons of surface area so you get massive amounts of vapor too.

Resistance is not the only, or most important factor. It's coil surface area and temperature that effect the quality of the vape. And you can have many coils of the exact same resistance that have massively different surface area and temperature at a given voltage. That's why 1.5ohm carto can be more harsh than a .7ohm coil build at the same voltage.

You are always so kind and respectful towards others around here and I have a lot of respect for your intelligence and candor.

I totally agree, I want to say that my other posts weren't directed towards attypops at all. He has his reservations about SLR vaping and they are well founded reservations. I've never seen him belittle or attack people who are into SLR stuff, so my hissy fit wasn't directed towards him at all :)

...

This I Can't Disagree with.

Atomizer Temperature and Surface Area is Really where it at. All the Other factors like Resistance and Voltage just go into making up Atomizer Temperature and Surface Area.

I have long thought that it would be Ironic if the Sub-Ohm Users were Actually obtaining a Similar Atomizer Wire Temperature to someone using a Average Retail Atty at say 8 Watts. And that what is Actually making the Hit Better is the Difference in Surface Area of the Atomizer Coils to the Wick.

I'm pretty sure she's holding the grilled cheese & bacon sandwich she made for me in her right hand.

That's totally....sad. Worst fantasy ever. I'd expect much better from you. But of course, you couldn't post it. Although, on second thought, since Eddard plastered his name all over it....sandwich was the way to go all along. nm

You'd have been disappointed in me if I had not. Is it not so?

The point isn't you! You know what you're doing! The point is about new vapers whose motivation is more about blowing massive plumes of vapor than getting off of cigarettes. Hell, they may not even smoke! They know zip about electronics or safety and just want to get right into making coils. Currently, these folks are in the minority, but take a cruise through the new members forum and you will see bad advice being given and good advice being ignored. Why would new vapers want to read about laws and study equations when "more experienced" members are posting youtube videos and bragging about how low they can go?

Not too long ago this was posted: I'm am a complete cloud chaser and I have heard the best way to get huge clouds is to use a manual. It would be great if i could get your takes on the idea. Thanks! The replies were appropriate, questioning the OP's knowledge of the subject, but the OP never posted back - that suggests to me they didn't get the answer they were looking for.

In this opinionated ocelot's opinion...if a person cannot describe the meaning of a "Dead Short," they should not be encouraged to vape sub-ohm.

Phew, for a second there I thought my sophomoric activities had raised your ire.

lmfao did this turn into another taco thread?

and as for the whole whatever keeps you off of the analogs comment....
I think it's more of a, when you have nothing else to say, or nothing nice to say....that is what's said as encouragement to the user that whatever makes them happy, keep at it and doing things your way...vaping is to each their own...

but anyways, I'm going back to lurking :p

and I WANT TACOS!!!!

Yet, this isn't even a sub-ohm thread. But hey,

whatever keeps you off the analogs...

I agree with both fancy cats above.

I don't think I have made a meaningful point towards the OP at all, have I? I was pretty sure my activity in this thread was merely displaying my vast amount of modified and un-modified Katheryn Winnick images....

Or is it that that you find agreeable? Certainly no shame in that!
