BJ, That's a very nice looking setup you got going on there.
Definitely something for me to look at for a home setup.
Granted, it might anger my better half.

Thanks, If I had the talent I would make a 3D box for the raptor with the lipo. My box is larger than needed. Still may make a 3D the old fashion way, cardboard, fiberglass, and carbon fiber. :)

My boxes only seem to get better with time and hopefully will soon have a 100% perfect box. We are at about 90%. But back to me being a perfectionist. Nothing is ever good enough(perfect). Darn.

You have that black box listed on ebay for a grand. That's crazy.
Well, none of my business. A sucker is born every minute.

Amazing mod by Rapture.

Link to the potentiometer:

P16SNP471MAB15 Vishay / Sfernice | Mouser

Thanks much!

[edited]

The pot is 470. Wish it was a little less resistance. But turning it all the way down is almost like turning off the mod lol. 2.5 volts doesn't produce ANY vapor even at .3 ohms.

I can live with it limiting down to 2.5V, as long as it can still hit 6V.

You can add a resistor parallel across the pot to lower it's range. I think 350 ohm.
1/(1/470)+(1/350)) = 200.6 or so (someone say something if I'm wrong, please)

Edit:
and pot at 0 ohms paralleled with 350 ohm resistor should be:
1/(1/0+1/350) = 1/(∞+1/350) = 1/∞ = 0 ohm. Any resistance in parallel with a 0 ohm
resistance or short will be 0 ohm or short. Therefore we call the short a "bypass"
because current will be detoured to the 0 ohm route.

all in all, that should make it a 0-200ohm pot. Right?

This sounds interesting. Thanks. I'll give it a try if someone can confirm. I failed math class.

I just used the 470 ohm potentiometer with a 350 ohm resistor connected in parallel (220 ohm resistor in series between trim pin and pot). It has the same range as a 200 ohm pot, but the pot wipe is affected over 50% of the voltage change is seen in the last quarter turn.

350 ohm resistor:
270-350-RC Xicon | Mouser

Output Range - 3.36-5.98v (+2.62)

Change in voltage with potentiometer turn:

1st qrt - 3.36-3.48v (+0.12v, 4.5%)
2nd qrt - 3.48-3.78v (+0.30v, 11.5%)
3rd qrt - 3.78-4.50v (+0.72v, 27.5%)
4th qrt - 4.50-5.98v (+1.48v, 56.5%)

Thanks for posting this and trying this out. Much appreciated. I'm still just a bit confused on how you wired it up though. Im an idiot lol. Not really but I'm a more visual learner.
