That is actually green....the original green that hasn't been done in a long time.I was talking about a turquiose (to me anyway) that is the color of the actual stone, I think the one on the right, but how does this compare to the blues that Alice posted in #135??
In #135 they look very blue indeed. I was never an art student, wish I was, so don't know much about colors, but I call the ones in 135 more like a royal blue?
The one i am talking about would have more green, like a tuquoise stone? More like your photo, the reo on the right?
Well no matter, the ones you pictured are my 2 favorite colors, if I could mix that paint together into one color it would probably be perfect LOL

I dont no who ended up with this mod but I wish I would have kept it for myself

That one was picked up by a guy (who will remain nameless) who then sold it a week or so later. Delilah got it from him. Eventually, the door was broken and she sent it back to you for a new door. As far as I know, she still has it.![]()
That's Gem! I have Gem's sister. Gem did belong to Deli, I 'think' Gem has a new home now (wish it was with me though).
Ok found a bit of history for every one. I know this is a bit of topic for this thread but here goes.
This was the vid I remember watching after I got my first wood REO. 808 was all the rage back then. One neat thing about the original Wood REO was that it had a adjustable center post and could use any atty out there, Rob was way ahead of the mod curve.
Now as you watch this vid notice at mark (1.48) you will see the Mine REO still in its infancy a lot changed before he went in to production with the REO Mini.
I just couldn't resist and I need to be working right now. Deadline in two hours. Feisty only had one stabilized. It's on a journey to new home right now. Not because she didn't absolutely love it but at new home it will be loved, adored, cherished, used as much as it should be.
I do have one of only 15, I am told, of the first production edition of Wood REO with the numbers stamped on catchcup. It came from classies. It is in pristine condition, btw. I doubt it was ever used much. I'll post pic later when have more time. Up until about a year ago, before peeps really caught on and before we realized Robert just wasn't going to have the time any more to produce many Wood REOs, it was much easier to snag them from classies. I have gotten a few from trades. I have a Black Palm 14500 Woodvil. I think there were only two made. TennDave has the other. It is gorgeous!!!! But prone to swelling, more than others, in high humidity. Needless to say that one doesn't get near my hot tub. Robert will probably never do Black Palm again as it is so extremely difficult to work and not fun to work. AND, the much easier to work Wenge, like Mudflap's, is just as beautiful and almost a spitting image of the Black Palm.
So, to hold me over, for stabilized, I have a NOT-REO box coming, on loan to see if I like it. And, it's orange, a color I have rejected all my life. (And haven't worn because the color is not good on me. And, yes, I have a few recently acquired orange tee shirts, but they are a political statement garb.) My Orange Mini 2.1 REO really changed my appreciation for the color orange!!!!! I doubt there is any other orange as perfect as the Orange REO.
Be well, Fine REO Folk.

Lil Gem was Deli's and got the new door, then went to Jen, then to Alice.
