Hey There. I have an ego Ctwist along with other mods. I also Have a smoktech rsst rba that I have been using on it. Like the others have said already, just be safe when making ur coil. Currently mine is at 1.4ohms and it works just fine. You definitely wont be able to get the same smoke out out of the ctwist but it does make some pretty good clouds. Ive used my rsst on my VV/VW evic but you have to make sure to make ur coil over 1.1ohms. just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the sub and feedback. I don't always call them video responses, but a lot of my videos are actually made as spur of the moment responses to a thread or question.

I guess you will see my slightly frustrated part 2. I read almost every post of this thread and searched around to see what else people were saying in regards to this topic. There is some really bad information out there and misconceptions about RDA/RBAs.

100% VG?
Single or dual coil?

A 1.6 ohm single coil, and a fairly huge one at that. One major contributing factor to huge vapor production is the airflow over the coil. That hole is drilled out to almost 3mm. The juice is in the neighborhood of 75-80% vg. I mixed it to 80 and made slight adjustments to taste.

Putting an RBA on an Ego is a very bad idea. Absolutely no reason to do this at all, ever.

Just go buy a $30 vamo and stick it on there, its much safer, and will give you a way better vape than you'll get out of an ego. Or use it on a proper mech mod, but I'd suggest starting out with RBAs on a VV mod, until you learn how to make coils.

This is even moreso true with a genesis style atty than with a dripper.

Will you please explain why you think that a well built medium to high resistance coil in an RDA is any more dangerous than a coil inside of commercially available cartomizer or atomizer with with the EXACT SAME resistance drawing the EXACT SAME amount of current and draining the battery at the EXACT SAME rate.

I know what I am doing, I know more about electricity than most, can build a damn near perfect/safe coil, and I check them often for any signs of concern. I know this is in the new members section, and I agree that rebuildables on EGOs is a practice better avoided by beginners. However, It is ignorant and harmful to the community to go around saying things that are not true.

Do you also think that guns are dangerous? How about motorcycles?

I believe the scare began with the first clones, when the insulators were pathetic... like slicing through butter type of insulators, totally worthless. The insulators on most clones are safer material now. Even so, one has to be sure that the positive post is slightly bumped out and not touching the rim of the negative base surrounding it. Fighting polarities and all that stuff. One doesn't have to consider those factors with the typical just plug and play storebought attys. Also, folks are used to buying their attys in Standard resistance, yet when they coil their own attys, they don't know what they're getting unless, of course, they have an OHM reader and/or a VV mod with readouts. Therefore, it's not recommended for the eGo type batteries, UNLESS one knows their resistance, knows about negative/positive etc... Other than that, yep, they work fine, especially at 2.4OHM or thereabouts. I use my Mini DID D-14 on the Spinner and Twist quite often, and it performs just like any other battery holder. When go somewhere where I'd never be able to recover it if I should set it down and misplace it, I use the VivaNovaV2.

Should a beginner use an RBA on an eGo? NO WAY!!!
why?
1. They don't know their OHMS, Resistance, Amps, etc..
2. They're not set up with ohm meter readers of any kind.
3. They're still getting used to what the regular store bought attys/cartos/clearomizers are.

if you want your protank to hit like a train and still work on non-mechanical mods, i have found that a 4/5 wrap of 32ga kanthal (around 2 ohms) will really wake up the protank (and the protank look-alikes like the puritank, etc). also, instead of one wick and one flavor wick, i use 2 strands of 3mm silica on top of each other, and no flavor wick

Now that is a well rounded and intelligent approach to the topic and I respect that a lot. I also agree with your points about lack of experience and the probable lack of any way to check the resistance. I just get frustrated when posters absolutely condemn a practice just because it is not for them. I am always willing to teach someone if they want to learn, I would gladly get on skype with any member here, PM back and forth, or make a video for them.

Also, I couldn't help but make this:

Awesome ill try it out when I get my hands on some wire and wick!

Where do you get $30 vamos?
