This is all I got for now. Pictured next to an IMR 18350 battery, keep in mind about 7mm of that length is down inside your tube, so it doesn't add to its overall length. Its short, compact and ready to thrill:

You might as well put me down for 1 for the simplicity,1 for the ELA,1 for the P+ and 1 of each when you get around to making them from Ti.

Oh yeah, and a 510 cap for that bad boy so it can top a shockwave

I don't know how secret the testers and such will be but I personally think a special thread for it and the testing process would be awesome.

We could ask the testers Q's and drool over the setup photos they post..

But if they are sworn to secrecy then that's kewl too...
My concern would be that counterfeiters will jump all over it. If it were me I'd have it perfected in secret, then manufacture a jillion of them and then release it.

The thieves (read: clone makers) will eventually steal it anyway and sell it for $11..

Of course said clone (like all of them) will fall part in 3 days anyway and the Super T one will rock on for decades!

Sure they will, but the key word is "eventually". If you can satisfy the major demand right out of the chute that's the best you can hope for.

Depends on how it looks under the hood. Depending on its difficulty of machining, and complexity, they may not be so quick to ripp him off, at least out of the gate anyway.

Clones have their place. If you want disposable, go clone. If you want quality, go original. (Although, there are some clones that are as good or better quality than the originals. That'll never be the case with Super-T devices, though.)

I doubt that the Precision RDA (or whatever David decides to name it) will be cloned, though. The ELA hasn't been cloned, ostensibly because of its complexity and infinitesimal tolerances; and David says the RDA is the most complicated gadget he's machined thus far -- even more than the ELA, if I read him correctly.

I remember someone hyping a device recently that was supposed to have a similar telescoping mechanism to the ELA among other features.. A month or two later the device came out and they scrapped that idea. I think they were waiting to see how the ELA did it, and once they got one in there hands they weren't able replicate it for whatever reason (cost or complexity, or both). Made me chuckle.
