I'm a total stick in the mud. While I don't mind tinkering and experimenting, it's the last thing I want to do in real life. I want no thought, no time, the absolute minimal amount of personal involvement.

I think the older I get, the more important this will be to me

No tools bodes well.
But it would be nice to have the capability of extreme tweakage for those who enjoy such things.

Agree again..

The one thing I have noticed the more I build and tinker is that, for me at least, the noob / easy setups work the best..

I use my Spheroid as an example. I tried just about every build known to man on that thing. The figure 8, the S, the single loop, 30g, 32g, regular coil, micro coil, silica, ekowool and cotton..

What flat out works the best for me on it is the suggested noob build. 2 strands of silica and a regular ole coil..

I agree with you there..

But sadly, most rba/rda require tinkering..

I absolutely love the Diver but loathe NR-R-NR wire setups..

I hope David's rba makes the tinkering aspect of most RBA's a thing of the past..

Wrap a coil, slap it on, vape away! Now that would be nice!

I hope so as well. I admit that I enjoy the build process, moving to RBA/RBDAs has completely changed my experience vs standard atomizers. I usually drip, and have been using my Vapemate with the IGO while driving(and have gotten some interesting looks). I've also been using my protankII, which is much better since re-coiling.

If I could find a well made US built device that allowed me to have greater capacity, and allow me to set up exactly how I like, I'd be all over it. I might go ahead and order the Simplicity 18, regardless of any tester selection, simply knowing that this RBA is coming. I'd originally wanted P+18 to compliment my 16, but was wavering on what to get. I was considering the REO, simply for the on board juice, and reomizer that's available. I think I'll opt for the Super-t.

I was introduced to vaping through a group of custom knife collectors, and saw it for the first time in Atlanta at the Blade show (my buddy is a knife maker so I went with him to help with his sales) In that world, build quality and function/design are driving forces. I got my P+ from a knife pal, basically as a gift and to upgrade(in a huge way) from the ego I'd bought. It is funny to me how similar the knife and vape enthusiast worlds are. The machining and ruggedness of my P+ remind me of a really well executed custom knife. Neither are cheap(I have folders I carry and use that can cost shocking amounts of money on the secondary market.) and you can find more affordable items that still do the same thing (at a much different performance level), but the experience isn't the same. You get what you pay for, and to me, supporting an independent maker or US company that has a high quality product is well worth it.

Sorry for the rant, I got off on a tangent. I'm not even sure I got my point out, but I'd been meaning to make that comparison since I joined this forum. Now I need to pick up a few overtime hours, so I can pay for the new PV.

I totally get both sides of minimalist vs innovative builds. I've been wrapping touching coils with 26GA; it can be hard to work with but I like that I'm not getting any hot legs and the vape is a bit cooler, which I dig. This is a 1.1 ohm coil, kick time is about 2 sec. on a mech, but this thing screams on a DNA20 mod.

But at the end of the day, especially if I don't want to futz around I just roll some mesh or grab some ekowool, wrap and go.

Alright David, I just purchased a simplicity 18650. Meant every word I said, if I qualify feel free to save yourself the 5 bucks and ship them together.

I build my coils about 0.9 ohm to 3.0 ohm, depending on what device I am using. I use just regular kanthal, have ribbon but never even opened it, I use anywhere between 30-34 gauge, I have 28-36 gauge. I have every size ekowool that I can get my hands on. I also have every size of silica I can find. I have every count of mesh, except 625.

I also broke down and have an 18650 inbound, along with a kickII and simplicity kicklet. I figure this setup will give me exactly what I want, and do pretty much everything I want it to. So many options, straight mech if I want to play with really low ohms, VW for microcoils, longer battery life, and a bullet-proof package. Knowing that a RBA is coming for this just sealed the deal.

I'm curious, does anyone know how the palladium plating on the contacts compare to the coating used on the P+ as far as voltage drop under load? I doubt it is significant, the geek in me is just wondering.

I have been using rebuildables just short of 3 years..started out with the one Drew offered from N Haler the At-tomizer..My preference is silica but have used many mesh Atties also....

ie: Penelope , Oddy, Ithaka,Spheroid ,,kayfun,,,Cyclone,,doc Dave's Bliss using both mesh and silica...trident,ERA,,HORNET and I'm sure many other that I have forgotten.. I usually build/aim for 1.3 for most of my juices but some require less heat to get best flavor and to avoid burning juice I bump those up to 1.9-2.1 ohm for best flavor..

Simplicity TI 18350

Thanks for your consideration...

I would love to be considered for testing a new atty out! :D

Must own a Simplicity 18000 series.

I have a TI 350 Simplicity on order :D

Must be proficient in coil building.

I have been using rebuildables for over a year. I am versed in genesis of several varieties, kayfun style, single & dual coil drippers, amongst others.

Just to clarify, i'm not looking for reviewers. This is for testing purposes only and your feedback is to be confidential between Super T.

Confidentiality is not an issue.

What we are looking for is what setups work best for you when using this device such as but not limited to:

What wire you use. What ohms you use. What wick you use. Single or dual coil preference(it can do dual or single coil). Vape times on your battery. What juice you use. Vape times out of your juice without refilling (its a dripper with a twist, it holds a couple of mls) Air draw preference. Etc.

Please post up what Simplicity model you own and what rba's you currently vape with if you'd like to be considered.

I currently use DID's, Kayfun Lites, and my Hellfire dripper the most. I prefer a 500 SS Mesh wick with a 1 ohm coil of ribbon wire on the DID's and other Gennies, and 2mm ekowool special 8 wick with a 1ohm coil using 28g kanthal on the K lites. I have my Hellfire setup with 3mm Eko stuffed with 1.5mm eko with a .8 ohm coil at the moment. I have another dripper setup with a .6 ohm dual micro coil that really performs well.

Thanks for the opportunity to be considered Dave! I am excited to see what you have come up with!!!

Well, I now have one of the titanium Simplicities on its way to me, so I'd like to throw my hat in the ring if the five haven't already been chosen :)

I consider myself proficient in coil building, have been using RBAs for a couple of years now and use rebuildables for the majority of my vaping. I use quite a variety of wick and wire materials. I have a few different sizes of silica wick, cotton thread, some Ekowool (cotton threaded core), as well as misc SS mesh. For wires I have 0.5mm ribbon kanthal, standard kanthal (30 and 32 gauge), nichrome (32 and 34 gauge)

My current RBA collection includes several genisis attys (RSST, G-tank US, Ihybrid, some chinese DID clones) and silica attys, both drippers and tanks (Penelope, Odysseus, 2x Ithaka, Kayfun, Cyclone, Immortalizer, Spheroid). Most of those are in fairly regular rotation except for the DID clones and the Kayfun

I think David said somewhere that the RBA will be sent out for testing before the Ti 18350's are finished and sent. I don't want someone thinking that they have a better chance if being selected as a tester because they paid a lot of money because I think that's a recipe for disappointment.

He did say that which in effect takes my name out of da hat!

Well, sadly I don't have the Simplicity. I do have an ELA, and look forward to the results of this testing and the improvements it will bring. I have a feeling there won't be much need for improvements...but that's just me being optimistic that it'll be ready ASAP!

I do enjoy the roll-call happening here. The listing of skills and atomizers, supplies, etc. Very entertaining!

Well good luck to everyone, especially to David on this new endeavor. I predict a smash hit!
