Ok so I'm relatively new to rba's (4 or so months) and I cant seem to figure this out. No matter the device or setup, I just dont get the great flavor that everyone rants about. Some info: I bought the entire line of MM's stuff so Ive tried all the DID configurations, I have the LavaGen, and an Ithaka. Ive tried ohms from .9 to 2.5, 325-500 mesh, different types of silica in the Ithaka with the x style dual coils. Ive also tried different types of wire on all of them. Still get better flavor from a carto or the HH357. I just dont understand what I'm doing wrong. Oh yea, and as a control for all of the different setups I use either Boba's Bounty or Moca Java Smooth from HHV. I know what both juices taste like from a carto but get barely a hint from the rba's. Both of those juices are almost 100% VG so to eliminate those variables i have tried a few 50/50 blends to see if that is the culprit. Lastly, I think I'm setting these up properly because the vapor and throat hit are awesome on the respective devices but flavor is still lacking. Also should note that although i dont post much on the forums i do actively stay in tune with all the reviewers and their videos. So I am aware and have spent lots of time tinkering with the setups but still dont get much in the way of flavor. And lastly, I put all of these on either a Provari or Poldiac. Tried all different voltages with the provari when i could use it and have tried the Poldiac stand alone with the low ohms and have kicked it at all different wattages with standard ohm setups. I think I have tried to adjust all the variables and have properly set these things up and am still frustrated and confused why the flavor is so lacking!! Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hard one to reply to DubbyaH.
All is can say is that if you are not getting the flavor, then there is obviously something wrong with your setups. Hard to pin point this because to have stated that you have tried pretty much everything. When I first started RBA's a couple of years ago, I to had the same problem. TH was good, vapor was is clouds but the taste was always muted. 9 times out of 10, I found the problems to be shorts (coil to wick, wick touching tank base, oxidization of my wicks etc).
I can only suggest to you to pick one of your RBA's give it a try again and if you are still having problems, then come back with another thread with specifics (materials you are using, how you set them up etc). When you have this, there will be lots of members who will certainly help you out.
Sorry I can't be of more help!

Thanks for the reply grainey,
Yea you are right, after reading the post again i do see how it would be hard to reply to. Guess it was just some frustration venting out. I have been concentrating on the Ithaka of late and am having the same issues. I dont think its an issue with shorts due to the silica. I'm running the x-style dual coils from Bishop's video. I'm using 3mm wicks and removing 2 strands for the 2 wicks that share a channel and removing one strand for the stand alone wick. Been using 6-7 wraps with 32g kanthal. Twisting the wires by hand and using 32g nickel NR wire. Measures .9 to 1.0 ohms usually. But on a general level, I guess its just hard to admit that its operator error. Thanks again.
