Looking into going with a RDA. I hate having to have 2-3 tanks with different flavors and I eat up the coils at about 1 a week as I chain vape.

Been eyeballing a few and have questions

1. I see this Resistance (Mfg Rated) 1.8 Ohm - Does that mean only 1.8 coils can be used

2. As far as Regulated Mods go can an RDA be used on most ? Talking VW Such as a istick 100W

3. The pre wrapped coils from like FT are they safe to use

4. Are all RDA just made for Drip Style use?

I know it's a ton of questions but needing to see if it's something I can do.

1. If you're looking at fastech, that's the resistance of the preinstalled coil. Check the comments to see if there are any issues with the insulators and going too low on that particular RDA, but for the most part you can build whatever you want.
2. Yes, you can use RDA's on regulated mods, just make sure you don't get one with a bottom feed pin, or at least not one that is only for bottom feed.
3. Never used them myself, but many do. Just read the comments if available and be careful, FT isn't always great with their item descriptions. I have seen the words Kanthal, Nichrome, Nickel all in the description of the same wire there.
4. There are some "RDA's" that have a tank type system where you press something or squeeze something to approximate bottom feeding, but for the most part RDA's are for dripping.

1: Nowadays that would be unusual, but I suppose so.
2. Yes.
3: Sure, it's just a coil.
4: yes..... well then there's the bottom feeders.

yes you can do it; especially is you like changing flavors

Keep in mind with RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer) like its name, you have to build and rebuild and wick and rewick, oh and also clean out and burn them up. Plus you have to keep dripping once every few drags.
Also, you need tools, especially wires, to build your coil and your preferred choice of wicking material.

;)
Don't forget to mention that the coils
Last for months not days, and you
Can re wick them with cotton balls that cost next to nothing.

yep, that's true
but like I said, your choice of wicking materials, still needed
oh, he likes to change flavor, you can burn them but won't be as good as changing new cotton

Thanks for the advice. I am seeng that RDA and RTA are bit more affordable than the Coils already put together ie Kanger Aspire etc etc. I may see about getting one of each.
If you're just getting into rebuilding, you'll need wire, wick, and something to check resistance with(most regulated mods have this). Other than that you just need something to clip the wire and cut the wick with, and something to wrap around, tweezers help too.

For a long time my building kit was tweezers, scissors, nail clippers and drill bits.

Wire is cheap if you buy it from somewhere like temco, like 100' for <$10.
