Aren't they throwing in a free personal fire extinguisher with every S8 as part of their rebate program?

You sound like you're doing just fine with this stuff. Sure, there's some stuff to learn, but really not all that much, and then lots of common sense, which is where I sometimes run into trouble.

Oh, and for making your own coils, wrapping the coil is dead simple. It's wicking the coil properly that's the art of building your own RTAs. RDAs are more forgiving.
Oh i think i can build and wick, I've watched like a billion videos.
The main problem is firing it up.
I know I'll just feel to scared to fire it up that close to my body.
The time when i was first firing my box mod i was so scared after having watched all those vapes blowing up on YouTube i couldn't do it and had to call a friend to help me out. [emoji14]

There is a separate wattage and bypass mode in my pico.
I also want to get into mech mods. But it'll be a while before i can touch any of those without going BOOM.

Not sure if this has been addressed I wanted to post this before but got called away.

Bypass Mode for the Pico:

When in Bypass mode the device can support a coil within the resistance of .1 to 3.5Ω. Direct output system is applied in this mode. The higher the battery level the higher the output voltage.

Thanks.
Someone explained in detail in this same thread.
But it seems like it might kill the battery and the coils very quickly.
Even dry hits seem very probable.

Don't fire it close to your body. When I build I use a 521 tab which gives me three things, a solid platform to build on, a way to check resistance, and current to dry burn and test my coil. I even wick my coil on it then reassemble. You don't have to use one, and can achieve the same with your mod, but mods are usually tall and skinny, which makes it more likely I'll knock it over.

When I do all that I don't have the build anywhere near my face. If everything is working properly, resistance is about what you calculated, the coil is heating up nicely from the center out, and you didn't knock anything out of place when wicking (look at your resistance to be sure it's the same after pulling the cotton or whatever through), you can assemble the tank and vape on it without fear, as you then have done everything right.

It really Isn't that Bad.

But before you do it for the 1st Time, you might want to dial 9 and then 1.

That way, if things go South, you can just Smash the Key Pad with the Bloody Stump that your Hand used to be. And you'll have a 1 in 9 chance of getting a 1.

;)

Bypass Mode is basically turning your Regulated device into a Mechanical. Forget about all the built in safeguards.
