vaping on the NarDA right now and I just wanted to point out, as I marvel at the flavor on this thing, that I don't think the Hobo 3.1 is better for flavor, just that the vape itself is more to my liking. For "vape", that is encompassing vapor, airflow and flavor. If just talking about flavor though, well, c'mon now! The flavor on this thing is silly.

Having said that, I do have a problem with this atty and I could use the help of friends here. I hate having to admit this, but, when I get this think coiled and wick'd up, the initial vape is superb and some of the best flavor ever, but for whatever reason, I end up getting dry hits. And I don't mean "dry hits" as in, the wicks are dry type dry hits, I mean the wicks are wet but they are not supplying the coil fast enough. I can't for the life of me understand it either. I've tried dual-tail wicks and split-tail wicks for single coils. In both situations this happens when I try and crank up the watts on a certain builds that are lower ohms (like below .4Ω and mostly with 24 and 22 gauge). If I keep the watts minimal and the resistance higher, it is fine, but then the overall vape gets less amazing (though still better than most).

I think my issue is literally working around those screws. If I could say there was one con to this atty, it wouldn't be the airflow because that's more preference than anything, but these screws, coupled with having to drop the coil, makes the wicking kind of a pain. Any advice? Even if you don't have the atty, maybe you can say something that can make my issue get resolved.

I got a NarDa from Catfish, damn nice BF atty....very flavorful.

At the risk of an indelicate topic, wicking with rayon should also solve.
I actually wicked with rayon for my first build in the NarDA. Worked really well. I have a ginormous box of it on the shelf and don't use it enough. I actually prefer using it in RDAs as opposed to RTAs because it was just a pain to use (for me) in RTAs. Hell, I don't even use RTAs anymore. They don't satisfy me like drippers. Not even close.

I'll probably stay at or above .5 with the NarDA. Honestly with regulated mods I don't see the point in building much lower. I'd rather build higher and throw watts at the build. Just what works for me.
Though I have never owned any regulated device's, this is my understanding of how regulated works best and what it was designed for...

Just depends really on the device and the atty and the best type of builds for that atty.

After messing with the NarDA all last night, it finally occurred to me that I was thinking of the resistance before the type of coil. I rarely ever use single-coil builds, and if I do use them in an RDA, it will more than not be multi-strand coil. What type of power you put to a particular build should be considered on the type of coil, not just the resistance of the coil. For a single-strand single-coil build, I think the max power should often be lower, a lot lower, than the same resistance in dual- or multi-strand coil.

Just played with the new reuleaux rx200 at my local vape shop, that thing is nice and it's not that big. I've seen bigger single/dual 18650 mods. My only problem.....they want 80$ for it, when I can have it shipped for 55$ plus I need 3 batteries that are new, no thanks. I will just wait and order it. It was hard walking out without it though lol I'm sorry I just hate the shops markup, it's ridiculous.

When you learn how, teach me your ways.
Hahaha! Well.....I technically put it to her this way, you need something to get me for Christmas and this is what I want, either you get it for me or I'm gonna get it anyway lol. And I didn't say it as ignorant as it sounds reading it. She doesn't vape so how I convinced her is beyond me honestly. I don't want for much in this world, but when it comes to vape gear that want is normally always there. It's slowing down as of late but there's always something I could use when it comes to vaping ya know, so it's hard when people ask me what I want.

This is probably what I should've bought instead of that Sigelei. Thanks for the info becasue I thought it would be too cumbersome.

I actually went to the shop to check out the sigelei and see how it was in the hand. And to look at the reuleaux. But once I played around with both I knew what I wanted. The sigelei was a little tall too and for the reuleaux being 3 18650's it's pretty damn small.

I got the all black one. I liked the blue and white one but in person it was a little too bright for my taste. Still nice but it's not my style though.

Buddy of mine picked up the reuleaux DNA200 last week and has been loving it. I was QUITE surprised how small that 3 battery mod was. I kept thinking back to the last couple 2 battery regulated boxes I built and how big they were lol. If my wife were to ask what I want, it would be coming out of my wallet anyway as she's a stay home mom for a little while longer til my daughter goes to kindergarten. Still though, 4 years on a single income and hobbies (first it was my subaru, then rc cars, then my t-shirt business, now vaping) SUCKS.

Yeah I hear ya, single income isn't easy I don't care who you are. I give you credit, I'm in NJ if something happened where my wife couldn't work for a bit I'd be screwed royally. It is SO expensive out here, I'd have to get another 2 jobs on top of my full time, but I'd do it if need be. I understand the whole hobby thing but It keeps your mind busy and keeps you sane imo, without them we'd all be nuts!

I just couldn't pass up the reuleaux rx200, it's too good of a deal for good quality. Plus I want this so I can sell a few of my other mods. I have too many, one does this, the other does that, the reuleaux will end that for me. So keep a look out in the classies!

I got the Sig 200 in this morning (the blue one) and so far I am on the fence with the design (that slanted business) but the battery door is staying on...for now. It's till way too easy to take off though. One thing I can say about this mod is the power feels immediate, consistent and legit. Overall, as of now, I am happy with this $50 unit, but the other one I bought will likely be replaced with a Releaux RX200.
