Well, As you can see from my sig, I've been vaping for a little over 17 days. It's like my little pacifier. I vape juice that varies in strength....I have seom 26 mg nHaler sample that I'm almost out of, some 24 mg dekang samples, a bottle of 18 mg tennesse cures from JC, and 3 bottles of HV from nHaler (12 mg). Regardless of what I'm vaping, I puff like a baby breastfeeds...lololol...:p. I usually take 3 or 4 two second pulls (hold 'em and let some escape out the nose) then a 7 second slow draw. I do this until the atty gets purty hot....I just love having the area around me look like a rock concert - -I wish I had some finger lasers....I'd make a little laser show around me .

I have been cleaning out my attys and I have two in rotation and they are still going strong through some very heavy vaping.

Anyway, from what I've read I think I really need a higer voltage device. I don't want to break the bank...the wifey always says, "What are you ordering now????"... lol...Anyway, I have narrowed it down to either the Chuck or the Xhaler.

I have 510 stuff...sooooo...

XHaler:

  • I would order the device and the charger and batts
  • The tips - I guess I should order some 510 tips, right - what say you?
  • What is a pelican? that's an extra 28.00
  • I'm assuming I can use my 510 attys?
With the charger/batts, and tips and the xhaler, the total would come out to 133.00 (without the pelican, 105.00). Am I missing something I would need or should I go another route for accessories?

I like this one:

The Chuck:

  • Need to get some batts and a charger - what types do most folks use? I see that you can use a 18650 (3.7v) battery, some 3.0 volt batts or CR123's (which you would need a sleeve for).
  • I'm assuming I can use my 510 attys?
  • what other things might I need? How much did you buy yer batts/charger for the Chuck for? Where did you get them?
I'm thinking 15 bucks or so for batts/charger plus the 80 bucks for the Chuck - total would be right at or maybe a little under 100.00.

I'd like this one, with the Dallas Stars logo on it:

I'm leaning towards the Chuck right now - but please.....I'd like to hear from users of both. I really appreciate any and all replies.

Thanks!!

I have a little chuck and a big chuck on order. The quality is impeccable. In the LC I'm using UltraFire 18350's / 3.7v / 1200mah. To run at 6 volts the BC uses two RCR123A's / 3.0v / 750mah, I got these from Tenergy.
By the way, a Pelican is a storage case... extremely well built, they have their own website with pretty good prices.

Ooooh - that GLP 5.0 kit looks like a good deal...get a 510 atty, 4 rechargeable batts, and a wall charger. Does the charger have the ability to be used with my 510 car charger?

$95.00...within my budget....now I have more research to do!...lololol

Dont think you can charge your 510 also with it.

But I love the button placement of the GLV and is light weight and good price.
It is one very awesome Mod that I love.. I use cartos with it mostly but on occassion use 801 and 510s also. All work great.. Lasts for many hours at 5v vaping.. I wouldnt trade my GLV for anything. I have others I love but GLV is my favorite..

I don't have a Chuck, but I have an Xhaler and have been using it with both a 510 and KR808 cartomizers. I've been following people's choices and input on this forum with interest.

Personally I have really been enjoying my Xhaler as a first HV device. However, my only issue with it is aesthetic:

The Xhaler end caps are brass, it only comes with 801 and 901 ends, and the 510 adapter end you can buy from Nhaler is stainless steel.
Using it with my 510, the arrangement of brass 901 end cap + stainless steel adapter + black 510 atomizer looks awkwardly patched-together.
(However, HealthCabin sells a 901-to-510 adapter that is matte black and would look much better than the stainless steel one.)

Your two choices are both good options insofar as you'll get useful info and feedback here for either of them. They're both made by suppliers that are familiar on the forum and that are known for good customer service if you encounter any difficulties.
The DSE905 is indeed inexpensive as it is manufactured in China, but has been encountering significant quality control issues in its early days, from what I can tell.

Yep, just batteries. For the chuck you can use one BIG 3.7 volt battery or two small 3 volt batteries stacked, that latter being a 6 volt config. Pretty cool because I can choose which I want to use. The 3.7 puts out insane fog and lasts for a couple days, so thats what Im using. It beats the stock 510 battery for vapor by a long shot for some reason. And just keeps going.

Thanks so aside from purchasing the Chuck for 80.00 - where did you get yer rechargeable batts and how much do they cost (batts and charger)? Just trying to get an idea as to what the "total package" is going to cost me. Besides the batt/charge is there anything else I should get or since I am set (at the moment) with 510 attys and carts am I good with just ordering the Chuck.

I'm now leaning more towards the Chuck.

Thanks again!!

I just bought the chuck and love it. It's gonna take 2 weeks for him to make it though, unless you bribe him and he'll get it out a LOT faster. :D Seriously though, I made the mistake and ONLY got the 6v batteries and chargers for the chuck and I cant inhale it straight, I have to suck into my mouth THEN down into my lungs, I don't mind though. I'd say try the 3.7v config and if your STILL not satisfied, then go 6v. Plus you'll save a lot of atomizers (I burnt through a BRAND NEW 510 atty in only 1 day of use!) Oh and you can get custom graphics put on your chuck too, mine is silver with the bears logo on it with my initials on the back, it looks great!
