Regarding VG flavors, or any high VG percentage,

By warming the finished mix in hot tap water for a few minutes, you temporarily change the viscosity of the VG, immediately give it a good shake and you cut your steep time by a fourth the time
That's what I usually do, even with 50/50 mixes. This is my first use of vg flavorings. I didn't realize the impact the heat would have. I mixed the ABC at 15% & let it sit about 3 weeks with no heat, tried it yesterday & just threw in some INA Custard that's also been sitting that long & it's delicious! Just the heat in the tank from vaping it is making it better. I'm going to mix more of the butterscotch pudding & the bread pudding. I'd mixed them all at 15% & they just seemed weak, even after 3 weeks. But with the effect of just a little heat on the ABC I'm going to start over!

Yup, pretty quite so far, it's s'posed to get ugly sometime tomorrow morning.

Gonna hafta to try that peanut butter cookie, and probably the butterscotch pudding as well (after I make sure the house is still standing).

Finally got my hands on some...Vanilla Custard, Cake Batter, and Bread Pudding.

I've tried the bread pudding. 10% with just an overnight steep. It's just a little bit weak for me (lacks "punch") but it's also very smooth and nice tasting. I will say that right off the bat I noticed that something in it is the same something that's in INW AM4A. Some kind of spice...

I'm not sure yet how exactly to use these in mixes. While the bread pudding is good on its own, it just feels like it's going to take high percentages to get any flavor out of it in mixes. We'll see.

I'll be fooling around with the Vanilla Custard next.

Yeah, the more I use these, the more I realize that for my own taste preference, starting them at 10-12% is too low. Henceforth, I'll start them all at 15%. I know it's easier to add flavor than mute it, but with the 3 flavors of theirs I've tried, it looks like I'll be taking them all to at least 15% before being truly happy with the flavor.

Agreed. I did most of my VG flavor tests at 12% and it seems most people settle in closer to 15%. I made a batch of the Bread Pudding @ 12% + Bavarian Cream @ 3% yesterday (a variant of a recipe I saw posted on another forum) and am liking it already out of my dripper but I will be letting it steep for a month or more before I get into it regularly.

Made some testers of the Raw Baklava, Pumpkin Pie and French Toast at 3.5% the other day and I am liking them all quite a bit more than the 2% steeped versions. Since I have upped my VG to 70 I decided to barter the steeped 120 ML 60vg batches to a friend as part of a Cash + Juice deal for a ChannelMaster DVR so I upped the flavor in those batches and increased my 2mg nic to 5mg for him.

I also tried some of the Pumpkin Pie + Baklava together on a dripper and that is a nice combination. Next on the combo testing list is French Toast + Baklava and FT + PP. These Raw flavors go a really long way at such a low percent and since I have 2 bottles of all 3 flavors from when they doubled the walmart orders I need to find some other combinations and recipes to use them in as vaping them standalone for the next year to use up my supply could get a bit boring.

Flavor report on Root Beer w/ Sassafras, and also Lemon Meringue:

Started both on 10/7. 3mg,100% vg; 15% flavoring each.

The Rootbeer is coming along nicely. The flavor is accurate- just like an old fashioned sarsaparilla. As far as flavor potency goes it's more dimensional than it was at the start (certainly no shake n' vape). I'll give it another week and call this first batch done. As for future batches for these flavors, my bet is, I'm going to up the flavor amount to 18-20%.

Lemon Meringue: Not thrilled with this at the moment. The lemon and the meringue are nearly undetectable to me at 15% flavoring. Will let it steep some more, but I'm certain this one requires more flavoring at the outset. Sampling a drop straight out of the container without anything added to it, it's a very accurate lemon meringue (right amount of tart, detectable meringue), so I should have known better than to just start off as if it were any other concentrate. Oh, well. Live and learn. My bet on this one is, the amount of flavoring I add may go as high as 25% before making any decisions as to whether or not this is a keeper (for me).

In the future and in addition to shaking them every time I think of it, I'm also going to do a hot bath to help reduce their steep time. Plus I think I'm going to start adding a little distilled water.

FYI, regarding my flavor preferences and tanks: I like my flavors to have a lot of oomph and I don't sub ohm very often.

I made the bread pudding a week ago. 30/70 with 12% bread pudding and I added the real flavors cream at 2%. It has a nice flavor, maybe not quite enough. It's definitely smooth. I taste it more on the exhale and a slight aftertaste but that may be the cream needs more steeping. Anyways I do like it. I also made the French toast stand alone but haven't tasted it yet. I imagine it will be similar to the bread pudding.

I like the French Toast (Raw Extract) better than Bread Pudding (VG base) but both are nice. I have some Bread Pudding @ 12% + 3% TPA Bavarian Cream that I have been vaping off and on for a while now that is quite nice but it recently took a back seat to some other recipes. I could def see using 15 or 18% of the Bread Pudding in that recipe.

My 220ml batches of French Toast, Baklava and Pumpkin Pie extracts @ 3.5% are all about 3 weeks steeped now. The Pumpkin Pie will come out of the cabinet Thursday for a turkey day vape, ready or not.

Hmm, wonder if RF will do any BF deals?

Already vaped them at 2 and 3.5 %. I prefer them at 3.5%. I like them all quite a bit but the Baklava absolutely must steep at least 3 or 4 weeks before I will vape it. The other 2 are pretty good after a shorter steep but still benefit from steeping obviously. I also made a Pistachio Baklava that I found on the recipe site and adjusted some (it was based on the RF VG Baklava) and it is pretty tasty as well.

Pistachio Baklava
4.00% Pistachio (TFA)
2.00% Acetyl Pyrazine (TFA)
2.00% Baklava (Raw) (Real Flavors)
2.00% Butter Pecan (FW)
0.25% Liquid Stevia (Pyure)

Thanks Fozzy, that looks delicious!

I'm definitely going to pick a few of these up, sale or no sale. :)
