So got my new Joyetech AIO device, but I think my juice was too thick and burned out the two coils that came with it. I ordered more coils one 1.0 and another 1.5 and now wondering if I'm just throwing away money now with stuff that won't even work with it. Also thinking of thinning out my juices... to much aggravation for me right now thinking about all this and I hate when I spend money and it ends up being a waste. Got the device because it was a good price and would be nice on the go, but now it's starting to add up and not happy about that. It may end up in my stockpile if an when I can ever get it working for me. Been on YouTube and web searching all day and this just wasn't worth it to me. I know I posted another thread and many were helpful, this is more of just a venting thread because the whole day was wasted I feel. :(

Update: Got my 1.5 Clapton coils and it is working great for me now. I don't think I was using it properly when I got it with how I was token my high vg juice (70/30) and the air holes wide open. After a bit of a learning curve I got it going and am really enjoying it. So much so I ordered another. Thanks for all the help. :)

Use the .5 coil for the thicker juices and do not chain vape, and it will work OK. The .6,1.1, and 1.5 have smaller juice holes and thick may be an issue. I have ran a 30PG/70VG on the .5 but let a little time (30sec) for wicking to catch up. Use 50/50 on the other coils.
Will have to order yet another box of coils. This is getting to be an expensive lesson. Thanks for the tip. :)

2-3 drops of Distilled Water - Instant thinner e-liquid.
Go light and shake to view results.
Will do little to reduce flavor, but much to allow wicking.

...........and don't feel bad. We have all been there at one time or another.
I once had a Full day where not one of a Dozen Devices wanted to work right. Almost drove me nutz. :glare:

Can I use just bottled water?
Looked at your previous thread and some pics of your coil Bonnie. If previous suggestions don't work I would suggest as last resort to take a sewing needle and run it vertically up thru cotton from bottom juice inlet slots. Perhaps one on each side to the top and see if that helps. If better but still dryish, repeat on each at other end of slot. Been my experience that replaceable coils tend to come wicked on the tighter side and since you cant physically remove material, perhaps helping juice get farther into wick will stop the dry hits, especially if your coils are packed more tightly near inlets. Both the coil and wick in pic you posted look pretty normal.

If the coil looks normal, why would I have such a horrid burnt taste? I MTL so I am only used to the Nautilus mini.

I don't think I know what that feels like. When I used the coil I had vapor every time until it started tasting burnt.
Dry hits are burnt tasting and if continued will actually make wick dark brown and burnt looking. My suspicion is your wick is somehow being restricted near the inlet and not allowing enough juice to be drawn up and around the vertical coil. May just be one inlet restricted, but that will cause any unsaturated wick to overheat and taste foul. Piercing thru any tight or plugged wick should open the flow back up and hopefully eliminate dry areas. An overly tight wick doesn't draw well and won't keep up with the liquid as fast as you vape it out. If it sits a few minutes and is ok for a hit or two before going dry, is slow. If sits and no improvement is just plain plugged around juice inlet. I've had gooey? juices plug wicks off entirely at inlet, almost like sticking a cork in bottle.

After reading all the suggestions today, I think my ejuice was to thick and I hit it without letting it wick up. Not used to doing that with the Nautilus mini or my other tanks that use higher ohms.

Correct. likely the Nauti coils are easier for e-liquid to pass through. Been many complaints of leakage on them.(but that's another story)

One thing people miss about Tank function.
Tanks are not supposed to leak. Keep this in mind. ;)
If a Tank is not supposed to Leak, How does the liquid get out so we can Vape.
Pressure change:thumb:
Negative Pressure keeps liquid in the Tank - That little Bubble or Air Gap in the top, acting like an invisible spring, pulling up on the liquid.(like holding liquid in a straw)
Suction through the Center tube Draws liquid out as air rushes by(reduced air pressure)
Now, Thicker e-liquids would need additional help in escaping into the wicking.
First, Thick means less likely to be absorbed/transferred.
Second Thicker means less stretch or Dispersal.
*A pg Droplet becomes a puddle - spreads out
*A vg Droplet remains a droplet - flattened bottom/Domed top

As opposed to GV, Water is VERY Absorbent. a few drops mixed in actually does (2) things. Thins the VG for better Fluidity/pooling and increases Absorption.

Once the wicking has had time to Fully saturate and reach Maximum absorption it works much better(faster), eventually to fast. (leakage)

Hope you find your balance and get things working nicely! :)
