I seem to have suddenly developed scary problems as a result of vaping. Now obviously, I should stop vaping if it's causing problems, but it's the "sudden" factor that's making me hope that I can find the problem. Plus, quitting vaping is going have serious issues in itself, as most of you would understand. Anyway, here are the details:
* I quit smoking 5 1/2 months ago, and converted to vaping completely. I have had no problems in this time except maybe a bit of a sore throat if I vape too much.
* All of a sudden (within the past week) I'm having these symptoms when I vape: lightheadedness, headache, mental fuzziness, shooting pain in the shoulder and arm, numb feeling in the scalp, and lung soreness.
* Vaping less reduces the severity of the symptoms, but doesn't stop them.
* Since I quit smoking, I have exclusively used Innokin Endura T18s.
* I typically vape about 5 to 6 ml per day of e-juice. I DIY, and my composition is 6mg nic, 35% PG, 65% VG, 10% flavor.
* I have recently made some liquid at 3 mg nic, because I want to reduce. I don't think that this has anything to do with it though, because I still have 6 mg left and both seem to cause the same problems.
* I thought that the high level of VG might be starting to cause some problems, and /or maybe I developed a sensitivity to some flavors. So I made a batch of E-juice with 50-50 PG/VG, and no flavor. No change - the problems remain.
My next experiment is to cut out the nicotine completely, to see if that helps. I also have to wonder if there is such a thing as "bad" nicotine? if that doesn't help then I'm just going to have to quit vaping. And I really really hate to do that.
One of the main reasons I started vaping, is that I got a warning from my doctor that my red blood cell count was too high. This apparently demonstrates onset of COPD. I recently went back to the doctor and my red blood cell count was normal. Which I was extremely happy about, as was my doctor. I mention this only to say that I probably have a little lung damage. But I think I caught it before the damage became bad.
Also, I have yearly medical checkups and am always otherwise healthy, and no heart problems.
So my question is, has anybody ever heard of or experienced anything like this? It's the suddenness of it that is so perplexing. What would you do?
