RBAs, with very few exceptions, give a better vaping experience than stock coils. Personally i think the Ares is a pretty mediocre tank and will give you a looser draw (though better flavour) than the T20 coils.
I started building because ready made coils where a) expensive and b) VERY hit and miss on quality. Things have progressed since those days though.
Considering you can now buy a good RTA and a years supply of wire and cotton for around $30 then there's really nothing to lose by giving it a try.
Finding a RTA that gives you exactly what you want is the next rabbit hole......

It's like bread, that store bought stuff is for the masses. Once you start making your own, no way you are going back once you get the hang of it.

Not quite like bread. Depends on the bakery, really. Try to make a real Parisian baguette at home--not going to happen. Or a NYC bagel. ;)

Don't think so much in terms of rebuilding being about convenience. Once you know how to rebuild you make your own ease of use. Rather consider why it is that you want to vape at all? In the end it's about taking control of what you put in your body, at long last. The enjoyment is the certain wonderful side benefit over the alternatives.

Good luck. :)

Agree, it comes down to whether you want to take control of your destiny or not. What's right for some may not be what's right for others. And that is the personal choice that we are all entitled to.

From day one I started with mechanical mods and coming up with my own DIY liquids. And soon after only with rebuildable atty's. I wanted my favorite vapes to be 'my perfect vapes', not a version of someone else's idea of what was a perfect vape. So it was a given I would do my own homework and learn how to do it myself from the start. It was a lot of work but was also a fun ride.

Since you mentioned the Ares, I'm going to guess that you are a mouth-to-lung vaper. If that is accurate, a simple coil takes just a few minutes to wrap yourself and install. Today, there are tools out there that help you wrap it really fast. It's easy-peasey. For me, anyway, getting the cotton wick right is the more difficult part and some tanks make it easier than others.

RDA's and RDTA's are perhaps the easiest entry into rebuildables @MrMike84.

But I've found the Taifun GT IV to not be too terrible to work with, and you can get good clones at decent prices.

The Ulton version is a good one, as it uses glass in the tank. So it's safe with all flavours.

Thanks! I´ll check them out :)
