Is there anything I can use to replace the fillers in the carto? I disassembled it and I think I shrunk it in to much hot water. Atty still works great after dry burns.
Fluval. Called "Water polishing pad" it's for aquariums. Sold in petshops. Cost about 5.00 a box of three pads. Three pads is enough for 100s of cartos. Can be cut and packed to fit a particular carto. Pack it loose for thick vg juices. Pack it tighter for thin juice.
What I did with it was modify a gogo carto by cutting it down and carefully removed the centertube. Then I packed a small amount of filler in a ring around the coil. Just enough for 3 or 4 drops of liquid. I did this because the gogo had propriatary threads and there is no atomizer sold for it to use in testing juice. When I want to change flavors in my gogo carto /atty mod I just pull the old fluval and roll another short piece between thumb and forefinger and insert for a new flavor.
I also use it when the factory filler stops wicking after cleaning. I clean and dry burn the empty gogo carto, then cut a piece of fluval and insert it as a new filler. Trial and error will allow you to learn how tight to pack it, depending on the juice you are using. It's no big deal. Don't like how the pack works? Just pull it and try another piece. My rebuilt gocarts usually hold about 50 drops of juice with what I consider a full pack of fluval. Sometimes I pack it so it will only take 25 drops of juice. From my experience, the fluval fill gives new life to old gocarts and other horizontal coil cartos that have been taken apart and the coil has been dryburned. Flavor, vapor and th are all there with no leaking.
It's already clean. I've never had any fluval burn on me but then I don't let it dry out and try to take a hit afterwards. We've been getting reports from various new users about gocarts and other horizontal coil cartos going out after 2 or 3 refills. Most are using very thick, sweet juices. I believe that pulling the original factory filler and repacking with fluval will solve many of these thick juice problems asd you can control the density of the fluval during the packing procedure. I'm doing endurance tests on some echo-e cartos right now but after that, I intend to repack a gogo carto and an echo-e carto with fluval and load them with 100% VG like caramel macchiatto and some 100% VG brown sugar that I have and see how well they vape over a stretch of time with the fluval and thick juice.
I added it to my igo cart after cleaning and dry burning it. Vaped just like new. My box was 6 bucks but had 6 pads in it. I figure 8 carto's per pad. Much cheaper than new carto's at 3 bucks a piece. Thanks for the great post. Saved me time and money since you figured out how to do it for me.
I wish there was a video for this .
There's a few videos on youtube for doing fluval on 510 cartridges, which looks pretty easy, but maaan', these ech / igo cartys are weird, i pulled a filler out and i dont know how you'd get the fluval to go around, and avoid the center tubing. looks like it might be confusing.

Use a straw over the center tube. slide the cut fluval down the straw, into the carto shell. Tamp down with a large diameter McDonald's straw. Fill and vape.
Hi Mohawkx, okay think i gotcha , except for one part. take the filling out, then use a mc'd straw and hold over the center tubing, then put the fluval around the straw? when you say down the straw, wont that be hindered by the center tubing? or do you mean down/around the straw? thanks buddy.

You need the right sized straws. Here are some pictures that show you thje proper straws and how they are used in inserting filler. The pics are in part 1 and part 2.
