I currently have a Smok h-priv 2 mod and a freemax fireluke mesh sub ohm tank with associated coils. I’ve had so many different issues with this damn tank I’m fed up. When it’s working, the coil typically lasts 3-4 weeks. All of a sudden, coils aren’t working. They taste like new cotton all the time even though I prime it, and after a few drags I’ve noticed it isn’t staying saturated anymore. The only way it even saturated is if I add juice directly into the cotton of the coil. Then I take a hit and it still tastes like cotton then after a few hits the cotton goes dry again. I have no idea what could be causing this to happen all of a sudden or how to fix it. This was never an issue so I’m not sure what happened. I don’t know if it’s the mod or the tank. I might get a new tank so Anyone wanna recommend a good tank compatible with a smok h-priv 2 where the coils last the same amount of time (3-4 weeks) looking for a tank that’s less than $100

...wait... the coils last 3-4 weeks then die? Not 3-4 days? Um... I’d say you have very little to complain about. Most coils last under a week. A month is the very longest I’ve heard of and that’s for occasional MTL vapers. It’s unheard of for a DL atty. It’s so good I think I may be misunderstanding your statement.

These mesh coils in this tank always last me a good 3 weeks, it’s definitely a great coil. That’s not the issue here. The coils are no longer working period. Not for one single hit. I prime it properly, do everything I’m suppose to and it still tastes like cotton and I’ve never had this issue. The cotton isn’t staying saturated. After a few hits it’s drying out again. It’s every coil now and I don’t know why. I never had this issue so much. Once it awhile I might have primed it wrong but now it’s every single coil. I’m not even getting a day out of them or a hit for that matter

The juice is not flowing from the tank to the cotton then. That or your mod went crazy and is delivering so much power that your coil doesn’t have time to resaturate. This is unlikely though. Maybe something is plugged up?

I build more than own regular tanks these days but the tank that came with my Smoant Naboo mod was the Naboo tank. Before I stopped using the tank I had over a month on the coil. I cleaned it and placed it right back in the atty. It just sits now since I don't use it.
That's the best flavor and long running tank I've ever had. Hope this helps! :)

Counterfeit coils are a thing.

That is a possible explanation, as is faulty QC on authentic coils.
Don’t think that’s it. They are from the smoke shops here and this is the first time I’ve had issues with every coil. I’ve had it happen in the past rarely when I didn’t prime it properly but now it’s every coil and no matter what I do it tastes like the dry cotton. I saturated the .... out of it, even put the holes in the cotton on the sides and still has the taste and then after a few hits, the cotton goes dry

What would cause the juice to not go from the tank to the coil? Anyway to fix that?

Guys I’m guessing that it’s what someone else said. That the juice isn’t going from the tank to the coil. Sometimes it leaks into the bottom of the inside of the coil which has happened before in the past before this started but I still think that’s what’s happening because the only way it saturates is if I put juice directly on coil in the cotton and I still have the taste and after a few hits the cotton goes dry. I don’t know what’s causing it all of a sudden or how to fix it

Emily Donovan, greek mule was meaning that you could use a needle on the coil.

Basically, just poke a few holes in it with a small needle. Hypodermic ones are probably the best choice.
Oh. I understood that part and have tried it I meant the part he said about a back up.
It’s a problem with the saturation. It only saturated when I add juice directly to the coil. And even then I get that cotton taste, and after a few hits the cotton goes dry

Also, could you tell us what liquid are you using please.

As high VG (Vegetable Glycerine) liquids are thick, and some coils don't like thick liquids.
I always use the Same two juices and never had this issue. I use crown 50 mocha latte (doesn’t say the VG/PG) and I use half that and half Uturn cinnamon churro and the big/pg isn’t on that bottle either because they are both 30ml bottles that don’t come in the box I guess but I have a 100ml box of cinnamon churro and it says VG: 70% and PH: 30
