You're welcome. Oops, tried to help another person on a build issue. Lol

Yes, the Naboo is a great tank. The coils are truly a joy as well. :)

Sorry if I just confused the heck out of you. Lol
Hahaha it’s okay :) you didn’t ! Some things I’m learning cause I’m fairly new to this and I hate having these issues when I’m in university full time and don’t have the money to keep buying new coils let alone new tanks or mods :(

And as for backup, you got it right. Mod or Tank, or both.

Many folks have learnt the hard way, and you don't want to be left without a vape. It's considered as cruel and unusual punishment.
Such cruel punishment. I’ve been learning the hard way. However I did try my other freemax tank and same thing maybe it’s the mod but I don’t have over $100 to get a new one :( in university full time and can’t even afford to keep buying new coils. I wasted $50 in coils in two days because of this and it’s still happening. I’m screwed :(

I totally understand. Only thing I'll forewarn you about is that tank uses a proprietary coil and some stores may not carry it. If you do decide on the tank order a box of coils. I still have a full box here in the event I run mine. The coil is a large one. Think mesh as well.

Either way I've never had any luck with one running that long and using it as my daily goto tank for a bit. I ran every sweet juice through it since that's my profile of flavor. My bought nice at the time was high nic with 70/30 with me adding more VG here at the house.
I keep it as a backup whenever I'm gone from the house for a few days. Otherwise, it sits since I build.
Tanks can get expensive with coils, that's why I went back to building (I had a blip in between vaping and I got started back on kit tanks). If you ever want to try a rebuildable it will really save you on money and your nerves on trying to find more coils. I can buy a roll of wire and a package of cotton and last me forever! :) If you are unsure of how to build they sell coils fairly cheap that are premades and ask you do is drop them in and wick the atty up. Super easy! :)

Yeah, she was a sweet girl with issues on a build in which we share the same tank. I had an oh crap second there. Lol. Had to delete and tell why I was doing an edit.

Oops! Lol:lol:

It may be to do with the VG content and Sweeteners in your liquid, or your mod is not playing nice (SMOK are not the most reliable), or coils are garbage (no offence).

You could try thinning your liquid with a little Distilled Water, that may help but you will need to be very careful on how much you add. As a little goes a long way.

Just gonna throw this out there, vape shops sometimes sell non authentic stuff. Having bought some clones - mostly intentional but a few not intentionally- I’ll say that many times you cannot tell the authentics from the fakes.

Since you seem to have liked that tank before the coil issues, I’d advise to try buying some from a clone free site. It’s the cheapest and least inconvenient way to find a possible solution.

But also, do get a back up.

I think you can get those on fasttech but do look for the word authentic on everything you buy there. The shipping can be quite long though, so meanwhile you might try Direct Vaper. There are others, but those are off the top of my head.

Don’t think that’s it. They are from the smoke shops here and this is the first time I’ve had issues with every coil. I’ve had it happen in the past rarely when I didn’t prime it properly but now it’s every coil and no matter what I do it tastes like the dry cotton. I saturated the .... out of it, even put the holes in the cotton on the sides and still has the taste and then after a few hits, the cotton goes dry
Could be bad cotton and poor quality control of the manufacturer.

There's not much you can do to fix a bad replacement coil. Only thing you can do is purchase from a different vendor and hope its from a better batch.

Counterfeit coils can be a problem. Nearly 95% of our vape gear comes from China. China is rather notorious for making counterfeit replacement coils. In fact, vendors like Fast Tech sell both "authentic" coils and off brand "similar to" replacement coils.

You weren't specific on how you prime or if you break in your coils. Below is an excellent video on how to do both. Its for a different tank, but the principles are relevant for all tanks and coils.

What would cause the juice to not go from the tank to the coil? Anyway to fix that?
It could simply be a matter of poor quality control of the replacement coils. The quality of the cotton, to be more specific. Back in the day of cartomizers, the polyfill (wick) would sometimes be so compacted and hard that it couldn't absorb the e-liquid properly, resulting in a bad burnt cotton taste and dry hits. Back then it was called "BogeGate" because a whole slew of new cartomizers were terrible right out of the box.

I notice you say you're "in University," which leads me to believe you're not in the US. You might want to put your location in your profile, or mention it here, in case someone can recommend a good vendor. I think you'll find that most online pricing is far better than B&M vape shops in most countries.

My wife had 1 of the privs I dont remember which 1. She was having trouble with her falcon coils. She switched out to my spare mod and had no problems after that. Hers was actually putting to much power out and burning the cotton. I cant remember the name of the new 1 but she can load pics and it has the time, she loves it and only paid 50$ I told her if she bought another pink smok mod I wouldn't change her coils.

Try a different e-liquid. During the winter, some e-liquids simply doesn't wick properly.
I have a number of strategies for vaping in the cold.
You can try the one you see fit in your situation:

1) Use 50 / 50 PG / VG e-liquid.
2) Add 5 % ethanol (alcohol).
3) Preheat the filled tank, one or two minutes at 5 - 7 Watts without pulling Vapour.
Hope this helps,

I currently have a Smok h-priv 2 mod and a freemax fireluke mesh sub ohm tank with associated coils. I’ve had so many different issues with this damn tank I’m fed up. When it’s working, the coil typically lasts 3-4 weeks. All of a sudden, coils aren’t working. They taste like new cotton all the time even though I prime it, and after a few drags I’ve noticed it isn’t staying saturated anymore. The only way it even saturated is if I add juice directly into the cotton of the coil. Then I take a hit and it still tastes like cotton then after a few hits the cotton goes dry again. I have no idea what could be causing this to happen all of a sudden or how to fix it. This was never an issue so I’m not sure what happened. I don’t know if it’s the mod or the tank. I might get a new tank so Anyone wanna recommend a good tank compatible with a smok h-priv 2 where the coils last the same amount of time (3-4 weeks) looking for a tank that’s less than $100

Just an idea....Did you mention what wattage your vaping at already? Maybe you could start low ~25 watts and work your way up to find out exactly where you get the burnt taste.

My freemax fireluke had the same problem as yours, but I found a way to solve the issue. I took a needle and pierced the coil cotton at top and bottom. Since then, the coils wick perfectly. Mine will last for eight (8) weeks or about two months (56 days)!

You could try finding a mod on eBay, just don't buy an "Unbranded" mod. "Unbranded" means it's a clone!

Easy ways to tell a clone from an original:
Color is slightly off.
Poor performance.
Odd issues/problems.
Mod smells like hot plastic.
