arrrr...or maybe aurrrrgh! this has NOT been my week! I had a wonderful workplace injury on Monday (fell backwards w/ a case of wine in my hands cuz some ...... left plastic wrap- a large piece- on the wine pallet & it tangled my foot as I stepped back from grabbing the case....slamming in to concrete, wrenching my back, & a case of wine shattering next to my head...not fun) back still killing me & I'm bored! off work by order of hospital er (L&I claim pending) until at least next Monday. Add to that I'd given 2 weeks notice that morning because that place is fundamentally unsafe!! then @ 4pm-ish I was proven right in a way I was hoping to avoid by quitting
oh well....my mk-8 is in transit. so are the batteries I discovered I didn't have for it. & so are a few attys & juices I just had to have for when I christen it with vapor!
just wish the er gave better pain meds....then I could just sleep til all my new vape-toys arrive & miss some of this pain.
Well, I think it's time to stop fer the night. Besides running around getting saw blades, parts and wood I also spent more time cutting more body wood. I'm expecting more body and panel wood to arrive over the next few days and once it's cut down to size I can really get moving.
Sorry I'm not on the thread more, I will try harder to be even more chatty.
On that line of thought, I don't think I've mentioned in a while how grateful I am to the the people who post on the thread here, whether it's daily, hourly or monthly. ECF is the life's blood of RSM, both in advertising, information and fellowship. If it wasn't for you all I don't think our ship would have made it out of port and it certainly would not have gotten as far as it has.

Hey all! I'm awake again. My job, that I'm quitting, is with a wine wholesaler....mainly warehouse work--pulling all the orders. Only been there 4 months. Before that I was general manager of a small orchid & tropical flowers wholesale business (so this job was a major step backwards on the ladder of success). Accepted the job because they said if it took this ....e job they'd give me the 1st new driving position that opened up during the interview (I'd said "no" twice before they said that). Then over the last 3 weeks they hired a couple drivers from outside without even speaking to me! I found out when the new guys showed up for work. I have over 10 years experience driving & doing sales/merchandising so I was completely ....... Especially because I've had safety concerns about the warehouse since day 2 & nothing has been done. Over the weekend we put our finances in order & determined we could handle a short-term unemployment....so I gave them my 2 week's notice 1st thing Monday AM. Then around 4pm I got hurt & at least week 1 of those 2 weeks is being spent in rest & recover mode.
at least the pain has decreased enough for me to vape comfortably, so long as I am lying on my side or standing up. if I'm sitting I can't bear to touch the back of the chair....major sore spot in the center of my back
