Mornin' Capt'! Question fer you and anyone else that wants ta chime in. If I remember correctly, you stated you use protected batteries in these mods. Any problem using IMR? I don't know the difference but see them both out there. Also, is there a particular battery these new mods were built around that you know requires no spacers and was made to fit? If you can't tell, I'm orderin batteries today :)

Ahoy and happy Sunday all. Hot weather & cool drinks, a universal cure methinks :)

Cappy, what happened to all the photos in the photobucket account? I loved looking through all that history :)

Yeah, I deleted a folder then realized I had deleted a bunch of sub folders too, so decided to just clean up the whole thing and start over. It must have had 30 folders and was pretty bulky.

Ahoy DD, they are built to take the largest batteries of the type that are in common use. For both the 18350 and 18650 that is the Ultra-fire and Trustfire brands. These are protected batteries with the pcb on one end and the wire strip that runs up the side of the battery. People may even need to spin the batteries a bit when putting them in as the wide part of the battery might bind them up just a bit.

Any other battery brand should be smaller and fit but the AW IMR typically need a spacer magnet to fit properly and make good connection to the battery terminals.

As long as there are so many brands of batteries out there in common use I have to keep making the mod able to handle the biggest type.

Arrgg, finally ready to get started working, better late than never I suppose. Got storms moving through the area as usual, lost power for a while too. I wonder how long it will be before this Ohio rescue dog gets used the the lightening capitol of the US?

Yo ho! I'm ready to vape :) ordered batteries, charger, attys, drip tips, juice, and most importantly....RSM Cutlass II! Sold my REOs last year when I stopped vaping, but since then I've slipped and stumbled some on the analogs. Not a full blown habit by any means, but I'd much prefer to have a mod to vape rather than the occasional cancer stick. Looking forward to joining the crew full time :) Arrrrgg!

Arrr, I've got to quit fer the night, after soldering for 10 hours my eyes are getting blurry. I only have 5 more of the simple Cruiser II's to build, all the rest are done and just need some final assembly touch ups and finish and they will be ready to go. I should be able to start shipping Tuesday if things continue to proceed well.

I also think I should have the website up and running with the help of my son by perhaps Tuesday, that will include a pre-order system. I just have to work out the particulars and test the system.
