Yoho! G'mornin' fellow pirates!

Yarrrr! How be ye fair pchela?

Guys, gotta say after pms with owners and a lot of reading I don't think there is a lot of difference in performance between the bliss, cobra, and AC9. They are all different in construction. SS, Ti, pyrex, pmma, threaded top, o ring top. Somewhat different in looks. Different weights. But all seem to have really good reviews and put out vapor and taste like a freight train by general concensus. I picked these three because they can all be somewhat readily purchased (when in stock) at venders.

I think so too DD. Still, some seems to be much easier than others to use, and considering that the genesis seems a little tricky when you start I would definitely go for the easiest one.
Actually, the only thing that prevents me from buying a Destroyer is that I would like to put a genesis inside...and I know that I couldn't stand playing around with the mesh for 2 hours trying to avoid hot spots and stuff. I'm pretty much after some "plug'n'play" devices now, and the RBA using Fiber glass suits me well for this. I'm still waiting for a solid proof that something can do better than my Cutlass II with a Chalice and some high end wick inside it :p

Aidreon, what wick materials have you played around with. I've been reading about ceramic, ss, silicone, cotton, etc. I've only tried silicone in my ERA and I love it, but I'm a bit concerned we are heating up fiberglass and sucking it up into our lungs.

The only blue county in Texas!
I had my first car stolen... 1969 Camaro - got it when I was 16 and I loved that car. My dad was going to restore it but it got stolen from a garage that was supposed to be doing some work on it when I was in my mid 20's. Not cool. I was going to save it for my daughter to drive. Of course, she would have been like.."Ewww... no A/C? No power steering or power brakes? I don't wanna drive that!"

RSM's and the DID works real well together
Bliss, cobra and AC9 are all bigger diameter than the DID,so they might not fit,I dunno
Arrrr

I did a little recon work, as they say, 2 out of 3 ain't bad :) The AC9 comes in at .8661 so it is out. The Bliss rings in at .8071 and the Cobra .788. Looks like that makes the choice a little easier. It all boils down to:
Bliss: Ss, heavy, screw on cap, tank shield, pyrex tank, $139
Cobra: Titanium, light weight, o-ring cap, pyrex tank, $159

You forgot tall, both are taller than the DID and it is purty lighweight for SS

Aziffel, the bliss is 1.89 in tall and in a side by side pic the cobra is just a spot taller. On Cappy's site he says the D2 "features a 1" deep tank well able to accept any tank .825" or less in diameter." So lets say you will have about .9 to 1 in sticking out the top of the D2 with either of these.

I have a chinese did, or I think some people refer to them as dud, that I will be putting to the test as my first genny. The DIDs seem to be pretty awesome and have a real strong following too.

One thing I heard about the Cobra is that the holes are way too small, meaning that it makes it difficult to work with. It's ok if you use small diameter wicks, but if you're used to full VG, or thick liquid, you do need a larger wick, and it becomes very difficult to do on that Cobra. Other than that, everyone agrees on the fact that the Cobra is a beautiful genesis device, perfectly build...but it just doesn't work as well as it looks compared to a cheaper DID.

Once again, I'm not into genesis, but just want to warn you out here DD, repeating things I read from people who know better than me ;)

I find that I have to tip the cobra more than the DID( a bigger dia. wick) to avoid the occasional dry hit.Even with 2 air holes, the draw on the bliss is a little too stiff for my liking. That's the beauty of choices, different strokes for different folks.
I have drilled the air hole in my DID's and cobra to 1/16,I don't know yet if I'll keep the bliss and drill it or just sell it,I got too many genny's now

LOL! And here you are with all three. Thanks for the opinions. Any chance you have a D2 and can provide pics?

Go for it, I don't mind :)

I just snapped a pic of a Genesis Maxi in a Destroyer II (D2), It's the only one I own, but I can't use it as my juice will kill the tank, although I am playing with a new juice mix that taste's pretty good and won't hurt it.

Click on thumbs for larger pict.

Time to knock off for the night, I'm pretty wiped but they are all built and the final glue is drying. Tomorrow a extremely fine sanding and the last coat of finish. Whew, another batch nearly done.

Back later ....
