Took a couple pictures with the camera phone. (As you can tell, I'm not a descendant of Ansel Adams.)

I threw in one of my Reo's since it's Koa which I really like, a very handsome wood indeed but I have no idea what body wood would compliment it.

I also like the metal button and catch cup but don't really know the difference between the SS and chrome.

Although I am a big user of metal Reo's, they are the ones I take out of the house and abuse to the point of it being criminal, my wood mods stay inside both safe and cozy.

As pleased as I was when I found a mod-master that was as concerned customer service as he was with creating a quality product, (Reo's), I am doubly pleased to have found another mod-master who shares the same attributes. As it stands I see no reason to look further, all my needs and desires are met by these two mod-masters.

Now if I can just figure out what combination of RSM I want and if it'll be available. Thanks for all your help.

The only blue county in Texas!
I think if you already like Koa, Koa #2 or #4 would look great with the Tiger Maple or the Zebra - I like contrasting woods. :) I also lean towards the round brushed button and catch cup if you're going DNA - SS on both if you're going regular. Anyway, good luck deciding!

I learned decades ago that if you want it to look right ask a lady's opinion so naturally I went with with pchela's suggestion; #2 Koa, Curley Tiger and SS hardware.

Didn't have a coupon code and got an e-mail about a bunch of bonus points that I know nothing about but all's good... I'm happy. Luckily I don't have any wives left to nag me about my spending and Dawg can't tell the difference between one mod and another. As long as her food bowl is always full I don't think she cares.

Thanks for the help, pchela, and everyone else, I appreciate it.

Good morning crew!

I remember a few months ago you were checking in at 8 am :p

I know! I've said for a while I need a 28 hour day, 20 hours of play, 8 hours of sleep. As it is I average 6 hours of sleep and still want to get to bed later and later every night. Obviously the people of my home planet had a longer day I guess..... arrr?

Blast! I just had to do a battery change again. These EH IMR 18650 2000 mAh batts are are cheap, but you get what you pay for.

The Efest IMR 18650 2250 mAh seem to have almost half again longer life span. I think I am going to quit trying to save a few dollars and just start going for the better batteries.

This DNA board also seems to not drain a battery down as far as the SW-ADJ3 VV board does. I suppose it's because it needs a higher amp delivery to boost the voltage up and a battery that is getting down to 3.6 volts can no longer provide the current it needs. Makes sense I suppose.

So I guess the lesson to be learned is, for the DNA boards, go with a good quality high mAh rated battery if you don't want to be changing it out every 6-8 hours.

Arrrr

Sometimes i have a red light in the mod and if i want to continue to use it i need to lower the watts.
When i check battery i have 3.6 minimum and often 3.65-3.7.
Used the old dna12 some months and never had an issue to charge battery for the need of an all day vape with same atty.
The 2 mods use the same panasonic CGR18650CH.
Maybe the newest model need more from battery, i know it could make no sense but that is what i note.
Or would it be possible than the oldest dna continue to provide but with a lowest power ?

I would say this is possible, but the prototype that I am vaping is the old style board without the software on/off and it seems to have the same battery life as the new boards. It is also possible that they made some changes to the board in the last few batches but about that I wouldn't know.

I guess my choice is to stop using the DNA12, just suck it up and live with it, or do yet another design change to incorporate the DNA20 board into the mod if I want to keep offering the VW option. Does the DNA20 behave the same way though .. hmmm

Blast it anyway, I think I am just gonna pirate everyone's pre-order booty from that huge batch and head to Jamaica with the loot!

Bugger! I gotta remember to do that BEFORE I actually make the batch and ship it ... oh arrrr, I suck as a pirate....

Sign me up for a DNA 20 RSM! That little screen is sweet :D

I have noticed that the DNA 12 runs my 2250 mah panny's down to around 3.6v. My Provari will run the same battery down to 3.2v.

Either way, I'm still swapping batteries at least once a day, whether it's a set of 18350/16340, or a single 18650. But the VW aspect is much cooler than I anticipated. :D

Yes MCM20 is very cool with this screen, it drain also a lot battery for me (especially with genesis atty).
But as for DNA12 it is not a problem when you know it, i never go out for a long time without another battery and at least two mods.
Cappy, continue with dna 12 (or 20 when you want :p ) !!!
Waho i prefer vw and don't want to go back to vv now. :)
