Hello all! Afternoon to ya Capt'! Just making sure that we're clear....there's no way I'm giving up my Destroyer. I just didn't wanna be caught off guard with a payment request. I may have to do some robbing of Peter to get Paul paid but it won't be the first time and it probably won't be the last. Suffice to say, barring the coming of that zombie apocalypse business that destroyer is mine.

Captain the granadillo wood is over? such compounds are the mark6?
thanks

I only made two Mark-6's this batch, a Curly tiger redwood, and a curly tiger maple with tiger engraving. There are no available Mark-7's. There will be 8 available Mark-8's and also 8 of the new Mark-10's that I am making for this batch.

There will be more Granadillo mods in the future :)

Ahhh, kicking back after a nice dinner. Playing with the Mini Lavatube, not a bad piece of work if I do say so myself. I was thinking tho that it needs about a 1 1/2" extension tube so you could have the choice of popping in a traditional 18650 battery with a regular top if you want more batt life going out somewhere. Maybe I will just make one.

Time for the last coat of finish on the mods, will start assembly tomorrow if it is dry enough, arrr

hey there crew! how it going? Hey cappy how many Destroyers this round again?

Um, counting the one thats had dibs called on it, none, sorry! I had two Gabon Ebony destroyers that I was making, but one cracked and I don't think I can repair it, the other had a check happen on the side while I was sanding it, I cut down into the check and was able to find clean wood, but now it looks lopsided and there isn't much I can do about it. It's about 1/10" of an inch more narrow on the back side, makes the tank hole look too offset although I can fix the push button hole.

Sorry Cherewine!

Here, I will take a pic or two.....

I might just take it fer meself, arrr

Apologies if this post is inappropriate, I mean no ill will...I was on the waiting list forever to get a Cutlass 5.1 and was somehow passed over, I know the Captain is a busy guy, it happens...I know this model has been discontinued for complexity in repair/build issues however I have yet to see a wood mod that grabs me like it did...I'm looking for one, oval ends with SS hardware, not real picky re wood used but the darker the better, so I thought, why not go to the source...if one of you have one and are looking to maybe do some trading please PM me...again, I hope this hasn't offended anyone by posting this here...

Arrrr Cap'n,I gots a mighty fine piece of kit in me mail today.
Thanks!

Glad you like it. I've been playing with the Lava mini, I like it with my SS tank, not the heavy vapor I'm used to with a bottom feeder but nice enough.

They will not last long of course, people know that combining plastic with aluminum causes nerve degradation to your hands (if your wearing pink leather studded gloves), after all tetanus come from dirty metal and plastic doesn't it? and has also been proven to cause epilepsy in rare cases of mutant rats vaping more than 60 ml per hour (not to mention the severe brain hemorrhaging afflicted by the bacteria on the metal casing that is of course not present in wood due to the anti-bacterial affect of exotic wood to cleans the hands and the spirit as well. True it is!

(These claims are in no way supported by the writer of said claims)

Cappy!

Sorry I'm asking so many questions.. LOL... what was the price on those?

Let's see;
Mark-6,7,8 - $175
Mark 9 - $135
Mark-10 - $145 (covers cost of LED/bit of extra labor)

(+ extra for some woods. Wood prices are going UP!) arrr

sorry, i found them.. lol I remember seeing the pic now!.. what size did you say you were making the tank hole in those?

I'm mulling over a couple of ways I can have my cake and eat it too, as it pertains to exotic wood, maybe a design change or two, I dunno, I will keep looking at the situation, see if I can in some way offer the most exotic of woods but avoid making the whole thing out of it to keep the costs down.

I tried to make them .8" in diameter by offsetting the tank a bit more (to allow for door thickness) so the clean tank and others can fit easier. Another thing I will be looking at in my upcoming downtime is improving the inset tank system if I can.

This is called the Pride of the Pacific. Just got her today. She looks stunning and fires spot on.

And this is the rest of the South Pacific fleet, escorted by vv Reo Woodvils, Kongs, and Lavas (tanks and tube)

(sorry for the picture quality but you know what I mean)

To upkeep the Noah's Ark theme, I will be on the lookout for another Destroyer in due time.
