Well we had Cutlass. Other pirate weapons, Dirk, Buckler, or Blunderbuss.

Well, I suppose I could just call the feeder a Cutlass II, and I had been using Scimitar as the label for the folder and files that are for the new tank mod.

vaping into a coma with a Cisco 2.5 ohm 510 and Kick Bass Vapor Hummingbird Nectar. Definitely going to keep this bad boy. My lady can use a reo, she's clumsy anyway. Yes, that will make a fine excuse... :)

Can't wait for a new tank mod. Well if Scimitar it is then so be it. Either way it still should be awesome.

Well, thats just a name that popped into my head while working on it, I needed something to call it. Ideally the names should be something that doesn't cause embarrassment when someone asks what it is called, I think I've failed in that respect a couple times, heh.

I do like Corsair tho pchela, sounds good on the tongue.

Blunderbuss is a bit much. LOL. Sounds ominous, powerful, and whimsical at the same time.

I would just like to say that I am also looking forward to the new design. I love my current destroyer but will be on the lookout for another tank unit when the new design comes out. The thing that will attract me to purchase one would be the more exotic, and more expensive, wood. I love the exotic woods and burls. They are probably much harder to work with but I would prefer some more exotic woods and would understandably pay more for one. That is just me and others may want them available as cheap as possible. Now that I have a Red Sky mod I can't see any other make that offers as many features. The only thing that makes me look at other mods is the more exotic woods. With a battery check feature and the current volt meter I see nothing needed as far as features. Some wild woods or burl would really set them off and I, for one, would pay some more for the exotic look. Just my opinion, Steve

Totally agree with you Steve. As you see in my signature, I do have a fleet of them and that is the way I roll. The provaris are used for atty and juice testing. I just like the way they hit and the way they feel in my hands. I am leaning towards a new tank mod when available. I'm just heeled up to see what's next. I would like to see a battery/atty check feature though. Other than that RSM is the way I go throughout the day, no matter which model I pick up.

Hey Cap and crew. I also cant wait to see the new rsm. I was just thinking. Is it wrong for me to want to cut my vacation with my family to go home and get my new RSM I just bought? Lol. It was delivered an hour before I got on the plane.lol. O well. I wish to have a nice fleet like Rtrain soon.

I use my Provari occassionally and there isn't anything I need it to do that it doesn't do. It vapes well for me but I find I use my Red Sky mod more. I just like the wood and, even though it doesn't have quite as many electronic features, I enjoy using it and it is a little different. I don't really need all of the electronics though a battery checker and atty check would be nice I go for the look. The electronics have at least as much as other wood mods out there which is why I kind of decided to stay with Red Sky. I don't know woods so I can't imagine what one would look like until I see it but that is what I really like. A good vape on a wood mod with decent electronic features to make it easy to use. Red Sky fits tht mold so where I think I will stay but really looking forward to some exotic or burl woods if possible. Steve

i'd like a box mod done with good taste of the good captain-quality finish as he knows how to do, with beautiful wood and steel frame, in particular the base and top are protected by a sheet of steel wedged, glued, screwed with frieze of the RSM. I like the circuit was visible from a small glass insert or at least the voltage.
to tell the truth i would not mind even the base and glass top, or the panel that holds the battery, a play of transparency and solidity, warmth of wood and authority of the metal. :p
i do not know if i have correctly explained, rtrain will surely understand my voc. :D

Ahoy, good afternoon all, hope the week is treating you well so far!

Lots of recent comments and observations ....

As far as exotic woods, the wood I use is already about as exotic as it comes, but I would like to offer a wider variation of it. The plan is to, as someone mentioned previously in the thread, use a handful of exotics for the body, but use "Knife Scales" as the predominant wood for the back panel and front lid of the mod. This will greatly expand the wood selection that I can offer. My previous problem was finding blocks of wood big enough for the whole body, the new style will avoid this and any Knife scale of the proper dimensions can be used.

I am only able to offer things that I can make with my own hands and tools, so although a pretty brass top, metal frame or whatever would look awesome, I don't have the ability to make it.

Things are going slowly but steadily. I have the concept down on paper and am just making it part by part, test fitting and going on to the next step.

Brian, I think that would be a great idea. I had to go look up knife scales to see what they were but that method could produce some killer mods. I didn't look at the construction that close until now and looks like there are five wood pieces. A body with left and right panels, top, bottom, front, back. A number of combinations could be made with the body, ends and front and back being different woods. Again, no imagination here as to what the end result would look like but with your craftsmanship I am sure their could be some killer combinations. Also let you use some thinner pieces of wood or get more front and back pieces out of a block and not leave as much as sawdust on the floor. Sounds like you are onto a winner. I would be in for one!
