This is my current list of tanks that fit a .75" diameter opening. I suppose more might fit a .8" like the Mark-10 and the new model has.

tanks that fit:

ACT v3 (tight)
Bella
Cartomators
Copper Creek Tank (Smoktech)
Chibi
Clean (reported to be .75")
DC
DCT Map tank
DID
J-tanks
Lava

Tanks that DO NOT fit:
Big Daddy
Gummy Tank
Lil' Momma
Liquinator
Magma
Phiniac

Anyone have any additions or corrections?
5.5ml SmokTek does not fit :)

Ok, I have made you all wait long enough. Took some quick pics of them before I sand them with some fine sand-paper and put another coat of finish on them. I just put some hardware in them temporarily so you can see what the end result will look like.

I decided to free hand the outside shape of all the new mods. They all have completely rounded edges as that has always seemed the most popular, but I also brought them over to the spindle sander and went nuts on the edges some more. This way is much more fun for me and none of them will be exactly the same as another.

Here you go...

As you can see, a couple obvious advantages to this style is covered electronics, which is becoming more and more popular in box mods and also the tank is now nice and centered in the body. I don't have to offset it anymore to make room for the lid.

They use 18350 batteries. It's tight, but I've moved away from using 16340 batteries. They use dual 18350 batts for VV, or a single 18650 for 3.7v mode.

Mod dimensions, 2" x 1" x 5" tall. About the same as before.

The switch on the bottom is a three way switch. Push to the right for Direct battery/3.7v/battery check mode, center of OFF, and left for VV mode. Just like the Dual mode Cutlass 5.1 was.

There is now a view window so you can check your juice level in your tank without removing it, as long as you have a clear tank that is, lol. It will take a tank .8" in diameter or less.

Additionally, the electronics are not going to be glued into place anymore, so all I have to do is open the cover, pull out the naughty component, replace it and send it back home. It will keep the cost of repairs down alot.

new mods look awesome!!

Update: There are several RSM's still available on the site. 4 Mark-8 bottom feeders , 2 Mark-7 tank mod, 1 Mark-6, and 1 Mark- 10 . Get them before they're gone. FOREVER arrrrrr.

Yeah, causing a bit of a problem too, they represent quite a bit of part money so I am having to order much smaller quantities of parts and make a smaller batch of the new mods.

But no matter how reasonably priced an expensive thing may be, it is still and expensive thing! Arrrrr.... might be time to think about another sale.

I would give them all a loving home, but alas the bank would have my car after all's said and done. :(

I've spread the word to my few vaping coworkers, but they're all stuck on the local vape stores rip off gear. If only they knew how much they're tossing down the tubes on stuff easily available for 1/3 the price online, but I digress.

Ahoy! Well, got some bad news today. I couldn't understand why the regulators didn't arrive yet, so E-mailed the rep and found out they are on back order for several weeks! Did some deep digging on the internet and finally found an alternate source that was not out of stock like everyone else. Got a dozen on order, they should probably arrive around the end of next week.

So, I may as well start making a mock-up of the new bottom feeder, then if it looks good I will make half a dozen of them and also another half dozen new tank mods.

More bad news.

After a war council with a couple close advisers and family, I will be increasing the price of the next gen of mods. It was pointed out to me (again) that competitors are selling plain VV mods for over $200, 3.7V feeders for the price of my VV feeder mods and I haven't raised prices since I started making the Mark-7 & 8's.

It was also pointed out that I've always felt that my mods were at least as good as any other wood mod out there, and the price should start to reflect that. People might consider a cheaper mod price to mean a cheaply made mod.

I am going to have to cave in to their logic. I guess I am cutting it too fine between profit & bills.

arrrrrr

I love all my wood mods, but my RSM's are the only ones I won't take outside the house. At least as good as other wood mods? You're a modest man Cappy. I have two other wood bottom feeders that the doors have never sat quite right on them, even brand new.

I've only been completely tobacco free for 7 months, but I've vaped for two years now, and the RSM's are the pride of my collection. For the quality you could ask $500.

Boy, the people who missed out on the "cheap" RSM's are gonna regret it :D

The price raise is totally understandable considering the amount of time and effort it takes to make one, especially with the added functions and more aesthetic features in designs on these new models. The VV Grip with BF is $200 and VV Reo Woodvil with BF is $205, and that's without the dual mode/batt check feature RSM offers.

The pyrex glass Clean Duo Tank is $80, and I bet RSM takes well more than three times of time and effort and probably like 10 times more on cost of parts alone.

How many different models are you going to offer cappy? I think wider range of models featuring different sizes, internals, and prices would definately be a good plus on sales and spreading words, as more people can afford while suiting different needs.

Like offering a plain 18650 3.7v mod in much smaller size maybe in around $100-$120 range would definately appeal to alot of people who doesn't feel the need of VV or who wants thier PV as small as possible. The biggest part of REO's success was their 3.7v BF mods rather than VV ones. REO Grand 3.7 BF(6ml bottle) and REO Mini 3.7 BF(3ml bottle) are their best selling mods by miles far. I'm personally interested in smaller VV Tank inset mod with no LED and no switch. I think the only reason the previous 3.7v RSM mods didn't sell as expected was because it wasn't smaller. I think to alot of people size is as much important factor as design and function.
